Finaly got a little update. Pulled my dash out to fix the drip I was having with the heater on. Thought it was the heater core, but it was just the tube that goes from the heater core out to the fire wall. Had a little crack in it so I brazed it with some copper. NO MORE LEAKS!

Did the dash in black while it was out.

Wow, you don't waste any time! That car will be beautiful when you're done with it.

Thanks. I have been putting all my time into this thing! After I am done with the paint, the last step will be a 1j swap. Then it will be mod mod mod!

How hard is the LED mod. I keep seeing everyone doing it and I like the blue lights. Thought I might do it when I have my dash out to fix the exact same coolant leak as you. I thought I might just sweat a new copper pipe on instead of brazing. After redoing most of the plumbing in my house I am pretty good at sweating the joints. Thanks

The dash lights were easy, just change the bulbs out in the cluster to some blue led bulbs from superbrightleds.com . Climate control was a little harder, you have to solder in some new leds. Here is the link for the cluster http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76463 .

I was thinking the same thing on the leak, but the tube has a funky looking joint that connects to the heater core. So I just brazed it.

Its been a long time since I posted any progress on the sup. I got a camera for my birthday so I will try to keep everyone up to date.

Finaly got the bumper painted and back on the car! Looks sweet!

Got some new fogs and did the rewire so I can have the fog lights on without the headlights on.

Notice the shaved license plate.
p1190058_5.jpg

Also ordered a new digital display for the climate control. Sprayed a little bit of VHT nightshades inside the climate control while I had it apart to dim the leds alittle.

Hey, really impressed with your build, you're putting a lot of effort in! I've been right through your thread and I haven't seen the answer to this question so here goes...

How did you paint your dashboard black? Did you use just regular paint or anything special, and how is it holding up? Mine is the same blue as your's and I quite fancy going black with it.

I used the Dupont fabric and vinyl paint. You can get it at autozone and oriellys. It works great, although on my door seal panels the paint comes of from my shoes scuffing it going in and out.

Got the fog lights, lower grill, and headlight covers back on.
p1192526_1.jpg

I painted the grill to match the bumper.
p1192526_2.jpg

My 3 piece tails showed up friday. I got one taken apart and cleaned it up and repainted the inside of it with chrome paint for better reflection.
p1192526_3.jpg

Notice the difference before and after.

Wow, killer job man. I've been wanting to do my interior plastics in black, but didn't know what type of paint to use. All of my leather is gray already so I'm good there.

Oh yeah... Subscribed!

Got the trim painted on it. Need to nightshade it and clear it, hopefully have it done tomorow.
p1193975_2.jpg

p1193975_3.jpg

Got the passenger side lense finished and ready to be put back together.
p1193975_4.jpg

p1193975_5.jpg

Put the drivers side on just to see what it will look like.
p1193975_6.jpg

Still waiting on my prosport gauge. Also ordered 89+ side mirrors, and complete 89+ mouldings.
