Here is a little update on what Ive been up to. Its been 188 days since the last post. I installed Arp IS300 wheel studs up front and spaced the wheels out another half inch. Also got some nice blue anodized lug nuts to go with the new studs. Got some cusco coilovers for the front and slammed it. New tires for the rear and a bfg tire to match the drivers side. Pics................

Thanks supra villan.

So I got the steering spacers on and now I noticed there is a bad leak some where in my power steering. Almost all the fluid is leaking out within a couple of days! Once again I find myself spending money on non aftermarket parts. Starting to think my car will never be boosted!

Popped in to take a look at your thread... and I'm going to monitor it on account of your enthusiasm and dedication on the car.;)

Your tails look nice. Got me thinking about what I want to do with mine... maybe a bit darker would be nice...:biglaugh:

Glad to see another Texan tearing it up. Where are you located in TX? If you're in the dfw area, hit up dfwsupras.com, we make it a habit to get kicked out of pubs regularly.

Updates: Got a set of anodized blue lug nuts and arp studs, with 1/2 inch wheel spacers.

Also got an exhaust from JHOT on ebay. Listing said it was off a jza80 supra from japan, no markings on the exhaust. I fabricated 3 inch pipe from the cat back with a resonater that came with it. Sounds alot nicer than my 4 inch dynomax race bullet exhaust.

Now the bad. My neighbor backed into my car the other day and insurance said they were going to total it! Got one estimate for $935 to fix it. Wont find out till monday on what they want to offer me, and I still havent decided if I want to buy it back and fix it, or just part it and get something else.

Was the neighbor driving a yacht..?

You have spent too much time and money on this car to have it totalled for less than $1000...

Insurance called today said they would give me $3200. Or I can buy it back for $600 and keep $2600. If I can get them to settle for $3000 after I buy it back then i'm keeping it. Should find out by tomorow.

any news on this?

Still working with the insurance. Trying to get 3500. If anybody wants it I will sell it cheap, otherwise it will probably go to a local auction. Not sure what the insurance will do with it.

dude buy it back! you have put way too much money and time into it to let it go to some duche at an auction or a junkyard cause the insurance is lame.

my 88 has got mass frame and body damage from being smashed into a guard rail and i still keeping it to fix it later, once i get the money and time.

dude buy it and fix it, hell if you pay for the shipping i will send you the set of 89+ tails complete i have for free, let me kno man. i'll help with what i can but those lights are about it.

buy it and fix it bro, way too much time and sweat have gone into that baby.

Im thinking on buying it back and then selling, just so I know it doesnt get crushed or go to some kid who will rice it out. Im looking at a car right now for 4900 and insurance will give me 2600 after I buy it back. So if i can get atleast 2500 just so I can cover the title transfer on the other car that would work for me. Ill even throw a set of sawblades with tires in.
