A hass with a manual quik change tool changer? lol

It is a Hurco and is the cheapest machine in the shop. All others are Matsuura.

the purple pieces are stops. they're used to stop the raw stock in the same place for repeatability.

and if you really want old school I have one of the old column head bridgeports from the 30's.

step 1: purchase manual bridgeport
step 2: purchase servo kit
step 3: profit

easytrack or prototrack retrofits will only get you so far... 2-d/2-axis only. The parts being made in the pics at the beginning of the thread requires a 3 axis machine. A hurco is pretty much bottom of the bucket entry level cnc that is capable of doing this.

For making small parts like this, is a 3 axis sufficient, or is a 5 axis really the way to go?
