For making small parts like this, is a 3 axis sufficient, or is a 5 axis really the way to go?
lol, that's a joke right?

I have a 4th axis for my machine but have never installed it and just run it as a 3 axis.

I bought a new Bridgeport clone and built my own retrofit.

4th is sweet. 5th is a pita.

Pics updated on page one. Check it out! :)

The fitting is for the hose that was to be on the bottom for the heater. I will have an inline sensor for water temp since I can only put one hole in this part.

PS: Don't mind the screws, they will be added later it, was all I had, yeah they don't match.

haha pretty cool how many machinist's there are on here. Nice work on that part duane, i was starting to wonder how you were gonna clamp it down when it came to flipping it.

I worked w/ a haas over the summer but spent most of my 10 hr shifts on a morei seiki and a lablond or however you spell it. I'll take the morei over a haas any day.

Haas aka Meh, Matsuura is a much higher quality machine. I didn't post the inside of the part but it has a hidden hole from inside which bolts to the head.

comparing a matsura to a haas is like comparing a mkiii supra to a ford escort.
lol, I personally like moriseiki's. They hold up better than anything else out there. but anyway nice work again.
