Just got my oil catch can from IBOUGHTASUPRA, I think it looks awesome, I'm starting
to go crazy with AN fittings, but I love the look. Check it out

The build looks great. The catch can needs to be cool to be effective, are you going to put a heat shield on the downpipe?

I will now, did not know that. I'm learning new things every step of the way on this build.
I'm trying to rewire for sequential injection right now and I'm kinda stumped, I read somewhere
you can use the vsv wires for that.

I should have this turd running tommorrow. Just need to mount the fuel tank back up in the car and fill it with
some E85. I've been trying to setup my start up cal. for the AEM. I'm so excited.....

Finally got it started! Sounds mean with just the downpipe on. So I need to fine tune everything now.
I'm so excited, this thing hasn't run for over 6 years.

Dyno tuning scheduled for Jan. 21st. Can't wait. I found a good tuner who has lots of
experience with AEM and Supras. Anybody wanna make any bets.

Tomorrow is the big dyno day. I've got the car idling perfect and revs much smoother now. I was finally
able to drive it and warm it up to operating temps, no boost yet. The real tuning will be tomorrow though.
I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve, can't go to sleep.

UPDATE!!
Dyno results:
266hp @ 7psi (wastegate open pressure)
361hp @ 12psi
400hp @ 14psi(wastegate would not hold any more w/ greddy profec b spec2)

There is a lot left in it, I'm going to get a stiffer wastegate spring and shoot for 25-28psi
All in all i'm very happy so far, it pulls so hard under boost I start laughing, I can't imagine how
25 psi will feel. The engine feels very strong after break-in, no leaks or bad sounds.
More to come after the new spring is installed.

Nice to hear! Get the spring and update us. Three questions.

1) What internals were used here and I know that you had this build going for years right?

2) I assume you are on a AEM V1. Can it do boost control, I believe it should. Just get a MAC solenoid off of EBay and wire it to the PWM and have the EMS control the boost. Less electronics, the better!

3) I have to ask, how did the catch can do? Intercooler piping clean? I hope so or I deserve a :slap:

1. cp pistons, eagle rods, clevitte bearings, shimmed oil pump, ARP hardware. Stock head with metal
head gasket and fresh valve job. I started the build in Aug. 2010
2. It is AEM V1, the greddy profec b is a good boost controller, the wastegate spring was too weak
3. Not a drop of oil in the intercooler piping, the catch can added about 60 rwhp...lol. I did get some
compliments on the catch can from the dyno shop.
