Very nice set up and execution. Get it full speed soon so you can hit the dyno and 7Mpower.

thanks man. my car is in no physical condition to be on 7MP. :( it's ugly as hell, actually. but my #'s should be nice.

today i ran the tank real low (gas gauge as far down as possible) and put some 93 octane in it. i really BOOSTED for the first time today. it felt damn nice. i have 3 washers on the wastegate just to help hold boost til redline when i hook the MBC up. its boosting about 8.5 psi. soon enough, i'll up it to 12, then 15.

it idles much nicer now, and i didnt even do anything. i think i just needed to drive it a bit for the ECU to relearn everything.

it's getting inspected tomorrow, too. i know it'll pass, because my friend is doing the inspection ;) well, gotta go get ready to go to work now. :(

Hey man, glad too see its coming along, sounds like a proper build up. One question from earlier in this thread, Just how important is it to replace the flywheel bolts.......I didn't replace mine, I just used the ones I took off my last motor....oops. I've never heard of that being a problem. Did I totally "F" up?

i've heard of several people re-using them. from my understanding of them, they're like stock headbolts. TTY (torque to yeild) which means that you're not supposed to reuse them. i've heard SEVERAL cases of people reusing them though.

the thought of the flywheel breaking off at 6k rpm was enough to make me remember to get new ones. :( i like my legs.

ive reused the flywheel bolts and pp bolts about 3 or 4 times now..... probably not the best idea but ill replace them all next time around.

yeah, the first time i had the swap on the road, i reused the pressure plate bolts, but this time i got new PP and FW bolts.

Looking Good Shaeff! Get that thing on a dyno!
The stock headbolts are not TTY. However, I wouldn't reuse them anyway.

Shaeff: It's not so much the stock mount is restrictive it's more that the Cooler circuit has it's own 40 psi relief valve which blows off and dumps any pressure above 40 that the pump will make after shimming. :(

Add the squirters into this as an organised leak and the 7M GTE pump is moving a serious amount of oil around!

good info shaeff. thanks. I have also heard, like I believe lagged stated, that you can also use the adaptor from an NA to raise your pressure. Is it feasible to do both of these upgrades?

absolutely. i'm going to end up using the N/A filter mount off my old motor, as soon as i decide to do the oiling system. oil cooling based on pressure = the suck.

oil cooling based on temperature (thermostatically controlled) = the roxor

case in point: i've already shimmed my pump, and i'll soon be doing the N/A adaptor.
