David, you gonna go pull an EGR valve from it?
I've got CEL codes 24 & 52.
24 - Intake air Temp Sensor Signal. I think I may have my resistor on the wrong pins. I'll have to move them and recheck the codes.
52 - Knock Sensor Signal. Time for a re-wire. I'm hoping that's all it is. It looks like it's been done before, but now the wires look bad. I don't know why my lazy ass didn't do it while the engine was out and I had easy access to them. I can still get to them, but it would have been much easier to do without messy around with the intake manifold in place.
I need to buy clutch slave cylinder *cough cough* David.
Soon guys, soon. It'll be on the road. I almost gave up on it just before saw this San Antonio forums, and met you guys. It was sitting in the garage collecting dust, with a rebuilt shortblock wrapped in plastic on the stand. I was close to scrapping the project and selling it to a co-worker for peanuts. All of you guys have really helped me out with parts, knowledge & know how, and razzing me to get it done. Special thanks goes out to (in no particular order) Michael, David, and Darrell for helping me out along the way. You guys have been awesome.
I just hope this engine can stay together long enough for our family to enjoy it. My wife was excited when I started it up. It's got its quirks right now, but she knows that I can fix them. I'm really suprised she is sharing my happiness with this car cause she was the main reason I was going to sell it. She kept nagging me to get rid of the "damn thing."
BTW, I took a vid of it idling and was going to download it to youtube and share with you guys. Only thing is my son appears in the vid and she's really against exposing my son to anybody who can see the vid. I don't blame her so I'm going to shoot another vid without him in it and share with you guys soon. It's lame... just my car idling right now nothing special. I'm sure you guys have seen a Supra idling.
