I have not I have only done about 100 miles but I did put an oem back in and I have never installed an oem clutch I always go aftermarket just this time I went the cheap route and this was on sale. I never had a break in for my clutches but this always was for 6 speeds and ls1 engines in Australia maybe we make them all different out there I just put them in and drive as hard as you can. I am going to baby it for the recommended 500 and if it does not feel better I'm going for am aftermarket kit any suggestions on what's a good daily driver clutch for stop and go I want it to be driveable.

Have you guys put enough miles on your clutch? Maybe it needs to be broken in a little longer.

Thought about that but this is the clutch that was on it. I did measure the thickness before I put it back on and it was above the min spec requirement so i'd figure it be ok til i uprade. All i know about the disk was that it had RPS stamped on it. Didn't look for a model number and thats why i figured i'd be ok until upgrade. I also don't know how long its been on the car before i got it. Well....i'm not toooo worried really about that now just driving it to put miles and fixing the gremlins. But it is in the back of my mind as to why it does this. A possible reason can be driver error but i'm not gonna go that route.....200+hp or not i should be able to get more rubber out of it than what i'm gettin.

The reason I ask about "break in" miles is because when I first put this ACT 6 puck in my car it didn't hold at first. Now it seems to be holding good.

Frank, I've heard that the SPEC stage 3 plus hold really good power and is a full face disc for smooth engagement. There's always that full face feramic disc that horsepowerfreaks.com sells that's supposed to "hold up to 700rwhp with ease".

My 6 puck does that in 2nd and 3rd.

Which 6 puck do you have? My ACT sprung 6 puck would slip too. I called ACT and the tech told me to give it a little more break in time and it should hold. I did that, and it holds now. Well, at least while the car is rolling. I haven't tested to see if it holds dumping it out of 1st gear with these drag radials yet.

I just have the 6 puck with a stock pressure plate though.

Internally, that's the only thing I have. I have cam gears installed as well, but heard of people using stock gears and just setting them at TDC. I have walbro 400, and it was just drowning in fuel, 10.5-10.8 on idle, and I couldn't keep it running, untill I raised the idle screw, and brought it up to 1K, and lowered BFP to ~22 PSI, + new spark plugs, lol.

No not yet. I don't want it pumping that much until I start messing with my piggyback. I've been keeping an eye on the a/f ratios with the wideband and it's doing ok for now.

Roger, I did some work this past week. Put my non abs brake lines in and also finally put the fuel tank back in. Cut the hole in the fire wall. I think .my power steering lines came in today. Once I get them put in I'll be dropping the engine in.

I have 12v mod on mine. As far as tuning, I'm using safc 2 and afpr atm. Have not done WOT yet, waiting on a new inner tie rod to come in, so I can actually drive it, lol.
I did 6 degree retard on exhaust (same as on my stock set up) will see how it runs, hopefully on Tuesday.

Suprapowaz, what kinda slicks you running ? I got me a set of DOT approved Mickey Thompson slicks, and these things are freaking awesome on the street, makes it really hard to spin tires, unless your in the rain.

I'm running Nitto Extreme 555r drag radials. They have plenty of grip... even on wet streets. I haven't driven on a serious down pour, and don't plan to either. I love them. Being that I don't drive the car that often they should last a good while.

Well I've been putting miles on the car. Found out some things. Took it to have the tires balanced and the tire tech pulled me into the garage to show me i have a bent rim......damn......go back inside....he calls me out again......another bent rim......damn......go back inside.....calls me out again.....u guessed it another bent rim. I felt like Wheezy on the Jefferson..........Damn, Damn, Daaammmnn!! Two were not too bad but the third one was pretty bad. It still rides ok with a little shimmy to it. On Craigslist looking for some rims so hopefully i can have that fixed soon. I think i found the rpm drop off issue when i try to mark up the road. Found two vacuum leaks and the EGR valve loose. Took it out and it holds pretty good through power bands. Im gonna go put a wrench on every bolt i can get to and change out the rest of those old vacuum lines.

Also got a question for you guys.
If all i want in power is somewhere around 350-400hp....Can i do this reliably on 440cc injectors?

Also ....what's yalls opinion on what order to buy upgrades?
Here's what i'm planning ......
1. Upgrade clutch
2. Turbo upgrade w/exhaust
3. IC hard pipes
4. Walboro fuel pump
5. AFPR
6. Lexus mod (w/o 550 injectors for now)
7. Piggyback
