justbeinfrank, no biggie. I wasn't in a hurry to get fixed. Darrel came over to help me, and a I had a co-worker help me button things up. It's doing ok now. When ya gonna be up and running? I'd like to see your car sometime.

Darrel, how does it drive now? Much better I assume. After you get new tires you might need to do another alignment job. Hopefully not.

Michael, that shit happens alot. We always here stories of bus drivers getting assaulted.

Rufus
Car drives much better. It's still a little rough. Maybe its the oversized tires or maybe they need tp be balanced. Probably will do that tomorrow anyways. Other than that just continuing tofind the gremlins and getting it ready for my summer upgrades.

By the way.......why doesnt Via let yall MMA on their azzez.

Justbeingfrank,
Did your gasket and cylinder head work give u any issues? Or did u shop it out?

Might need some bushings and check all bolts down there and make sure they are nice and tight.

Yeah mike i did that. I checked them after you mentioned it. Found 2 bolts on the front cross member loose......i mean i can turn them bare hand loose. Tighten everything i can get a wrench to. 3 bolts on the rear were kinda loose.....about 3/4 to a full turn. The alignment is only 1.60° total off in the rear........ .87 on the passenger rear and. 73 on the driver rear. It drives straight at least for now.

I actually got the motor with all the work done which I am not happy with I want to go over everything again in summer. I am looking at one of the turbo kits with manifold and all and a t4 turbo have any of you guys had experience with any of these kits I'm not looking for tons of power just think they look real cool and a nice power upgrade. I do everything myself I work for a local performance shop focusing on older hot rods. I'm still new to it all so I take my time with it all. I am going to pull the turbo of tonight and see where that leak is coming from I have an extra turbo I might throw on there just really clean it up before hand

I'm not too far from you so let me know if you need any help. Where do you plan on getting you turbo kit from and how much. Right now I have the 57 trim kit from Driftmotion on my list. It says its up to 500hp. I believe thats at the flywheel so maybe 375-425hp to the wheels. Thats the range I'm looking for. Whats your range you're shooting for since it's tons of power you're after.

Darrel, let me know if your friend is down for a friendly race at San Antonio Raceway. I want to go back and see this ACT six puck clutch disc is going to do the job, or not. I'll look for an event we can all meet up at SAR. Anybody else down for some dragstrip action?

Those cars are pretty quick. Its an Infinity G37 IPL (same as the 370Z but on a little roids and luxury upgrade).

I just want a daily which is powerful enough until I get used to it which would not be long. I might look into fabricating my own just need to talk to my boss and see if he can help it would be a nice custom setup. As for the turbo leak right now I am guessing its coming from in between the turbo or of the pipe underside in the centre. Is this common? I have another turbo I might pull apart and rebuild but I just want my car running. I am driving a gas guzzling truck with a 460 lol

Wrong car. The IPL is about 2800lbs curb weight and 328hp with 269hp at the wheels. The only thing i know he did eas get the sport track option. That lowers the weight to 2500lbs and adds 25 hp tuned. Maybe 280hp to the rear. The lost weight helps to. So from your weight of 3700lbs to what he has 2500+lbs.....thats 1000lbs hes not pushing. Im telling you the car is quick.....off the line and topend. Its not all flash!!

Nah......that was the G35sport. He traded that in for the 2011 G37IPL. Little liter, sport tuned, and sport track suspension.

Rufus is right about it not being that lite but its not that heavy. I talked to him today and he said it did have the mod to ligten the car done. How much weight he doesnt really know.

I looked at the specs and it 3600 with 340 hp 270 torque. Rufus weights the same probably 350 HP and 350 torque. 7m is a torque monster. If its a dragstrip I have my money on rufus.

Yeah ....i agree. The only thing he probably needs to worry about is shifting. I believe the IPL has some good gearing ratios. Plus 7 speed paddle shifting. Rufus.......you better be fluid on that stick.

It'll be a good race. I'm gonna stay on him about this. maybe get it done sooner.
