I replaced the roof pillar louvers and the hood struts today since the correct radiator hasn't arrived. I also washed a doubled waxed it (1st a carnuba wax followed by a polymer). I'll take some picture tomorrow of the new louvers, they're fuggin awesome!

White FTW! Suspension next? Doesn't it feel great when your hood pops up by itself!

LOL, I never knew it was supposed to. :biglaugh:

I might eventually go to coil overs, but more than likely I'll swap my TTR springs out for H&R springs & send the TTRs to Jay. If the TTRs were 1/2" shorter, I wouldn't mess with them. I love the way the car handles with TTR springs, Bilsteins and White Line sway bars....

All the parts are collected with the exception of a sandwich plate for the turbo oil feed and a long line. I had planned to have the block tapped, but when jay picked up the motor yesterday, the machinist said that typical GTE oil bung location wasn't a oil vein. Weird, I thought that they were there, just not tapped.

Regardless, I'm going the sandwich plate route. For others that have done the same, how did you route the oil line from the plate to the turbo? Did you run it around the back side of the motor?

If I had a headgasket, I could assemble the head onto the block. I don't have the head yet, but I will hopefully get it tomorrow.

Your car looks HAWTTTTT Mark!

I went to his shop a few minutes ago. He's got my rear skirts molded in and my front bumper is fixed where I messed it up getting it on and off a trailer going to Chicago a couple years ago. He's going to do the actual spraying friday since it's going to be warmer. I'm going to try and make it over there to take pictures of it before, during and after the process. I'm supppose to be building some decks though.

Where's my parts at? How can I build a 1.5 without some parts. If they aren't here by tomorrow, I'm going to start assembling all of these extra 7m parts that I've got lying around..........:evil2:

Seriously though Jay, when you we get our cars broken in and working right, we're going to go at it. From a dig, from a roll and what ever else we can think of.

I'm handing you your first loss, dood...

:evil2:

Mail away. I'lll have it built and ready to install if I had the intake and wiring harness............:icon_bigg

I also need an oil pump, and miscellaneous. I can go take a picture of the block right now if you're still on.

If i can't get a pass like we talked about, I'm tearing the rest of it apart this weekend and sending it to you. I'm stuck driving a Isuzu Rodeo while my car is down, so kids are calling me a fag and throwing rocks at me as I drive by the elementary school on my way to work :biglaugh:.

I want to drive my car again. I need to.

That's what I did, you can kinda see it here:

Thanks, that's the route I will take too.

Short block and head will be picked up from Jay's tomorrow. H-O-P-E-F-U-L-L-Y I will get the motor assembled and in the car quickly. I will probably spray my engine bay again *IF* I have the time.

The only things I have to order/get (that I know of) is a turbo oil feed line, Mocal oil therm and oil lines. I should have everything else......

Mark everything is looking good, but in that last picture you are using the NA timing belt gear. That gear doesn't have the the teeth that the crank angle sensor needs to set crank timing. You need to use the 1jz one.
