I bought a 89+ turbo guage cluster so hopefully within the next couple weeks I can get around to replacing my speedo and oil pressure guage, as well as finally installing my AEM TRU boost gauge/controller in the stock turbo guage location in the cluster.

I got my new guage cluster today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll start the work on repairing/upgrading my guage cluster (after I get my research paper done). I'm not looking forward to installing my TRU boost guage/controller with the tools I have. Oiy!

I've been working on messing with my guage cluster yesterday and today. I need to do a little tweaking and a transplant. Pics up shortly of that. When I get home the wheels are coming off and tomorrow I'm going to start working on my coilover rings and figure out what is loose in my front end.

I'll give you the bracket tomorrow Matt. Your buddy will have to cut my welding to redo it. BTW, I coated it with a layer of silver enamel paint (quickly removed with a small wire wheel). On the guages part, I plan on redoing the guage with my spare cluster I have now that I know where to cut and how much that way it looks much, much better.

Side note: do not weld with a bucket of highly flamable lint under what is being welded :nono:

I got my coilover height adjustment rings broken free finally (been frozen in place for a couple years now). So tonight I'm going to adjust the ride height properly so for once my spring rates will be matching for the front and for the rear. I'm keeping the same ride height though since I have a driveway that sucks.

Well, I got my coilovers adjusted. When I put the Supra back on the ground I realized I still had an 1" to 1 1/2" of suspension travel, so the Supra is sitting so low I can't get out of my driveway and the only jack that will fit under it is the factory screw jack. I'll take care of that shortly, but for now this is how she sits.

Well I'm finally getting off my lazy ass and installing my 2J cams and JDM 2J 440's. I've started the tear down for both installs, mainly the injectors. I'm almost ready to pull out my 370's and put in my 440's. I pulled of the valve covers and hopefully tomorrow I'll be stripping them of all their paint and giving them a quick wet sand with some 800 grit sandpaper. Here's some quick pics. I have a lot of work to do.

Well I got a little work done today. I sprayed down my valve covers with some awesome paint stripper and got most of the paint off. I also took the inner baffling out of the valve covers and cleaned them real well, along with the insides of the valve covers (they were really nasty!). I also replaced the breather tube that goes between the valve covers with a new piece of heater hose as it was the original and hard a rock and had a burn mark of some kind on the bottom that actually broke when I tried to get it off. Tomorrow I'm taking the 600 grit sand paper to what's left of the paint and then using some 2000 grit sand paper to get them shiney.

Looks like you used the aircraft stripper(?) Works pretty well, yes? Good luck on the cams and injectors. You should feel a substantial power band gain over the stockers!:naughty: I'm wondering if my car will be faster though, just with the ecu upgrade (Blitz Access) and the 550's, as opposed to making the JZ breathe better, with the addittion of the cams and 440's(?)
