The weather was perfect today. Got primer down on everything and did a partial reassemble so I could drive the Supra home. The duct in the front bumper turned out amazing! I can't wait to see it when it gets painted. It looks stock. Gotta start wet sanding with 400 then 600 grit sand paper tomorrow as well as take my wheels off so I can get the coilovers adjusted where I want them. I'll paint it next week.

Just got a price quote from the body shop around the corner, only $400 to spray and wet sand the car. Not bad considering I'm getting a $4000 paint job for only $1100 total. This is why I do all my own work with a little help here and there.

Just dropped off the parts that are off the body at the paint shop. I did notice though that my front bumper duct has a couple rock chips and a small crack. I blame my parents for moving it carelessly. Bastards! Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it because of my time line. Friday morning the rest of the Supra is getting dropped off at the paint shop. I should be picking it up Monday when I get back from the GF's. That is all.

well i just guess, that your going to have to start building your car over at my place then, since i just bought my house just over the hill and all.. but you still need to do the interior of your car next adam, and those markers are on order, strait out of toyota..

Well, shit happens and it happened to me. The body shop ran out of buffing and polishing compound so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get my Supra back. But the owner of the shop is very cool so I'll be at the shop first thing in the morning putting back on my front bumper and nose piece. I won't be putting the molding or mirrors or mud flaps and such until the car is fully buffed out. Otherwise the compound will get on everything and is a pain to get off. Why spend the extra time getting the crap off when I can just wait and put the pieces on after the buffing is all done? Besides, by not having all those pieces on the car it will be easier to buff it.

Side note, I almost got side swiped in the Geo trying to get to the shop by some dumbass old pick-up who didn't look in his mirrors before moving into the turn lane. I came within 4 inches of slamming into the guy and left a lot of rubber on the pavement and a lot of smoke in the air. Thank God for good brakes and medium grade cheap tires.

Close call mate, glad your okay. Liking your ride alot though !

Very close call indeed. The guy was really lucky that I was in the Geo and not the Supra, as well as in a rush to get to the body shop. Otherwise I would have followed him into the parking lot he turned into and bitched him out like no other. Thanks for the compliment on the Supra, I'm getting pretty excited to have her back with fresh paint and a single color.
