Randy's putting a huge push to finish the bodywork over the next month or so. I found some other photos on his website that give a good view of these amazing wheels in the daylight! (I have the center caps for them too)

Very soon! The final blending of all the bodyparts is almost complete, and looks mind-blowing! Pics coming hopefully this week.

Hey Brad, now that it will look fast, you better start on the engine next :sarcasm:

The anodizing place BTW was Spectral (I think they are in langley)

Some teaser pics of the final mock-up. Randy's now doing some finishing work on the bumpers, the gaps between the wheels and fenders (front and rear) and the rear of the sideskirts, which had to be seriously modified to flow into the wider rear body. Randy is insisting on keeping the details of the rear wing a secret until the car is done. :evil2:

Damn, that is really coming together quite nicely!!!

Randy really does some great body work, it was great to see him & his car in person at the PNW Supra Nationals, hopefully you'll make it there with this car next year!!

I got one of those plastic handles for the spray cans, but after a can and a half I threw it away, it would make a mess, and not hold the can tight enough, holding it with one hand the can dropped out more than once... I had to support the can with one hand and hold the handle with the other, caused more harm than good! Good luck ;)

What are your plans for the engine?
My budget is totally blown for this year so I'll have to settle for the 400rwhp I have now. ;)

looks really good, but why a kaminari bumper ughhhhh......
Any suggestions? What would you like to see on the rear?

Wow, repainting the interior is a huge job. I hugely underestimated how much paint I would need, and started off with 3 cans. This was only enought for one rough 1st coat on most of the big pieces, so I focused on getting 2-3 good coats on the small PITA parts. I was forced to put it all away and add more coats later when I can get the other 10-14 cans I'm gonna need to finish.

This paint is very easy to screw up. If you hold your spray in one spot for a fraction of a second too long, it kind of bubbles in a way that looks terrible. After screwing up a few parts I found the right touch and most of the parts I finished look stellar. Check out the nice finish on the handles below. It was nice to make that nasty discolored beaten up faded blue plastic look like new graphite grey parts. I was planning to paint the grill cloth on the speakers but they take an enormous amount of paint to change color, so I'm going to re-cloth them with black or grey, all in the name of better sound :)

I found the time to install the skins for the passenger seat last night. Luckily this one was much easier than the rear seats. (these are 87 Celica All-Trac seats btw) I did everything I could to minimize the wrinkles, but I'll have to live with it the way it is for now. Overall I am happy to have the look and smell of new leather for the first time in my life :)
