OMG I just rode my brother's Ninja ZX10-R.

your powers of observation are astute.

snotcycle: go easy, respect the bike and you should be ok. The biggest jump wont likely be the power (altho ya there's alot of power) it'll be how hard the 600 wants to drop in. Particularly if you're on fresh tires, as they wont have "chicken strips" worn into them. Modern 600s are more capable of dropping in far enough to drag parts on the ground (rearsets, bar-end mirrors, side exhausts). it'll be the hardest thing to get used to. 600's are atleast somewhat easier for new guys 'cause you can be abit more wreckless with the throttle and so long as you're not in the right (wrong?) gear, it wont get to out of hand on you.

also, take a lesson from the dude in Joe's pic, and make sure you've got good footing on your pegs at all time, if you jump around on the bike without being firmly attached to it, it'll pitch you (unless you're a racing god, in which case you're not taking my advice, I'm taking yours).

everybody please ride safe.

If you feel comfortable on the 250, I'd say you will be ok. But, just remember that is a big step in terms of power and handling. If you do get one, just take it slow and get the feel for it. And remember, if you ride with friends and they are good friends, they will wait for you at the end of the curves. Don't push it hard if you aren't comfortable with it. Just my 2 cents :icon_bigg

I dont see a prob either. its a big jump, but not to like its a 1000.

lol... This week-end blew serious chunks.

I just dropped $1000 at motorcycle outfitters for leathers/helmets/gloves for me and the fiance, an oil change, and frame sliders. *sigh*

Now I wanna use them. lol

I must say, despite how they look, they are reeeeaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy comfortable to ride in. I rode today in ~40' weather w/ the insulating layer out and had no problem even w/ the ~20mph headwind running 85mph on the interstate.

Just thought I'd letcha'll know.

The new helmet...

We call them pilots... we would have to get you your 6.50 license, neck brace, balistic vest, and kevlar gloves and boots. It is better than some sex I've had!
