Im really thinking of doing the "LED" conversion on the cluster and the LED climate control. I found the write up for the cluster. But I cant find the write up for the climate control. Could some one please post the climate control write up?

Post your "LED" clusters and LED climate controls!!!

There are tons of threads about chaning the LED's in the climate control on here and on SF.

It is rather simple, pull the unit apart and then you have to change the LEDs on two circuit cards by desoldering and soldering in new ones. One board is the buttons, the other is for the indicator lights above the buttons. Some people recomend to change the resistor values but you don't have to, even for most blue LEDs. There are also replacement 7 segment displays for the temperature read out.

Again there are several threads that go into more detail with pictures and part numbers for the LEDs and displays, try changing you search query.

I did blue buttons with red indicator lights and I have not changed the temp display. The blue is pretty bright and may be distracting at night for some people. Mine is relocated into the center console so that is not an issue for me.

I don't know if there is a guide per-say, but there are numerous threads with various information about how to do it. A propper guide should be written but for now you can gather info from the different threads to figure it out.

Here are a few threads to read through, lots of information on the gauge cluster and climate control.

hey what kind of LEDs are you supposed to use? I'm interested in doing this but I want to know the exact size and specs of the LEDs and places where I can get them.

The pictures look like pretty standard 5mm LEDs.

The problem (As I see it) with blue is that blue is about the worst on night vision. It looks sexy, but isn't practical.

Still, because it looks good, that's the way that my stereo is done, too, so that makes for a confincing argument to go that way for my instrumentation. Hmmm... Though I think the buttons on my stereo are red, and the text is blue...

yeah I want it because I like how blue looks more than other colours but I remember reading somewhere that you needed T1 3mm LEDs or something like that but I wanted to be sure before I do something like this.
