If it is like the system here that supra may go to an auction. Some counties crush the cars and make the owners watch.

Serves the driver right. Break the law, and pay for it.

I agree 100%. I wonder if Fairfax County would turn it into an undercover police car if they keep it?:evil2:

It will probably do as much harm as good. People would be more tempted to run from the cops, which is far more dangerous then street racing ( Assuming the people do it in a safe area ). If they are retarded about it then they deserve it to be crushed.

But yes that would suck.

The confiscation of cars here has been great... People are shit-scared to be stupid and race.

I don't see how it can do any harm at all

im all for impounding cars. if you have the money to buy your car out of impound, then youve got enough to get a track membership.

I come from a land down under
"Let he who is without Sin cast the first stone"......

"Street Racing" is so open to abuse by the officer at the scene you could lose your car for hard acceleration beside another car.

K: Problem here with going to the "track" is the police attend with cam corders and as you know just about ANY mod is illegal so if your car runs xx time it's entered into a data base and if pulled over on the road you get the yellow sticker....

Only way around this is to trailer it in and out with no plates.

JJ: Thanks for posting that link. That's the first article I've seen that called it what it was - " illegal drag race". At the time all the news reports kept saying that eight people died at a drag race. :nono:
