This might sound silly, but i've put in my gauge cluster after repairing burnt wires and forgot to plug in a connector in the back. The whole time i thought it was the fault of the burnt wires burning through other wires and it turns out it was just my stupidity. Just an idea:p

The thing is, it's not just the guage cluster that's not powering on. The headlight aren't flipping up, Zeitronix WB, SAFC, EVC and VPC (all spliced into IGT) aren't powering on. Not even the TEMS controller which is plugged into the interior harness. I forgot to test the power windows. I'm hoping the power to the driver seat at least works since that's the whole reason I rigged up power to begin with. I still need to install the driver's seat.

Just a quick question... Not trying to "thread jack", but I have a small rusted hole the size of a dime underneath my drivers seat. I wanted to fix it and paint the bare interior with rustoleum. Would I be wise to rustoleum the interior first, then spray the e dead liquid dampener or vice versa???

Should be fine to rustoleum first. Personally I would use Pur15. However, if edead is waterbased like most spray deadeners, then you're going to want to paint over it also.

This Thread has EPIC WIN written all over it. Personally id use those $1500 for a 2J swap since that is my main goal in life, i had it in mind before i got my MKIII.. but since you have time & money you did this & ITS SIIIIIIICK!!! & your wife... EPIC WIN!! You have any idea of how many girls think I'm poor just because i own a car from the 87?!?! I need to restore the leather seats, paint the interior trims like you did, fix the half assed paint job because theres dried dripped paint everywhere, get tinted windows. Lower the car cuz its too dam high. But sadly... i need to pay $900 for insurance soon so that cuts my goals off. But you sir are a true inspiration. Holy FKK!!

No updates really interior wise. Everything is done except for installing the amps, subs, etc and recarpetting the trunk. I'm ironing out some minor mechanical issues first before I get started on that. My car's been moved around so much lately that it would make me too uncomfortable to have such expensive audio equipment so readily available to be jacked. So as of now, nothing going on interior wise. I did get all the elcetronics working properly and trimmed around the radio so it opens properly. Even the TEMS controller is working now. If u want me to post pics of a particular area, just let me know.

I'd like to see pics of the finished interior, unless I missed one earlier. Also, how is the paint and dye holding up? It's been a couple of years now.
From what I did see it's looks freakin awesome.

I don't have any recent pics, but I can take some next week. Interior has held-up just fine for the most part. The paint hasn't flaked anywhere, but I left my car in the sun for a few days and the dash developed some small cracks in the vinyl, really pisses me off. But the paint held fine. Also, I apparently didn't use enough 3M spray adhesive on the center of the headliner as it started sagging a few weeks ago. I would have sprayed more in the first place, but I didn't want the adhesive bleeding through. It's a really easy fix though.

That paint/dye holds up pretty good. Getting ready to replace my black carpet again and was looking for areas where I'd need to touch up and all is good (knock on wood).

Your interior looks amazing!!

HOT DAMN OP!! I just stumbled upon your thread!!! This is epic! Your interior looks fresher than 99% of MKIII's that rolled off the lot new!! Still haven't scraped my jaw off the floor.... Very very impressive.

It's a corbeau 3 point harness with retractors. Still having issues getting the tension set right. I shouldhave better luck once I install a harness bar which will aid in the angle. As a plus, it'll save my spine :)

Wow, just read your whole thread, I'm glad I'm only doin the carpet this weekend. It's more like an instruction manual for "how to make your interior better the right way" any updates on how this is holding up?
