NA valve covers and 3rd valve cover I made in the powder coating color. didnt want to do polished(too much work to keep looking good), chrome was ridiculously expensive, so I went with this-just maintain with a quick wipe down.

The Fuel Rail....one thing with powdercoating-make sure they just mask off the areas where you dont want paint. Do not let them use plugs-powder still seeps past the plugs creating lots of work to take it out.

Looks great man. You're doing a first rate job, and for that I commend you. I just painted my engine bay and it was a bitch. I didn't even fill in any holes or anything and it still looks good to me. I can only imagine how good yours looks up close.................

heres a pic of the general mock up of the third valve cover. To mount it, i got another 14mm plug that goes in the center valley with the threads in it, and replaced the front one. Then I just put 2 bolts in it to secure it.

close up of the bolts used to secure the fuel rail-I replaced most bolts with this type for that extra little "bling".:naughty:

ok now more specifics on how the third valve cover is mounted-first, the valve cover is 3 &1/16" wide all the way down. This gets the cover to rest on top of the tapered edge of the factory NA valve covers, but it will not fall through(basically the NA valve covers are holding the 3rd valve cover up). Then, in the spark plug valley there are three 14mm plugs-the one closest the the #6 spark plug is tapped for a bolt mesuring 8x1.25mm.(This is where the factory throttle linkage is held in with a bolt.) I got another plug like that, and replaced the front plug. Now you have 2 mounting points to hold the cover in place-just drill the holes to match the plugs, and install bolts to secure. I believe the bolts I used were 60mm long. Let me know if you guys have any more questions-I know it seems confusing.
