ignore the paint on the intake, it was a bad paint over on my part, didnt take the time like i did on the valve covers to strip off the old paint and now it was 2 different types of paints mixed so it started to crack and bubble grrrr.

more parts are ordered :)
lsx coils
harness
and lots of wire sleeving.

prices:
x8 lsx coils =$150.00 USD
x6 lsx pig tails =$53.25 USD
wire sleeves =$14.67 USD

total = $217.92 USD

not bad for all the above. wire sleeves i found are used for computer wiring but its the same as what i was looking for. plus intstead of just 1 size of wire sleeve it comes with a huge variety of sizes in great lengths. gonna be a nice looking engine harness now when im done with it :p

not really, mainly still waiting on the coils to arrive, im expecting it to be monday. once i get those i can wire them up, test them out on a unsuspecting victim :) then i just got some bolts and other sensors to test, reinstall the rear diff (going to just have to be gentle with the cracked rear sub frame) make a lower bracket for the fuel pump, and lines. install the engine/trans, fill it with fluids and give it a go i guess :p. its time is finally near, but when i have no idea im gong to say 2-3 months still due to lack of time to work on it recently. But i will update as soon as i got somthing new

Really. You know I wont have money. I just don't have the welder or the money for welding equipment. I wanted to do reinforcement to the frame but can't afford steel lol but its not needed to run or drive but will for hard launches and possibly pulls. But call or text me later bout the frame

newest update, the coils came yesterday. and i got all the plugs for the themostat housing and coolant neck, gonna need to order secondary wire boot connectors for the ls2 "to coil" so i can use my magnacore wires still. The location of the coils are still kinda in the unknown and its going to be hard to wire anything up untill i know that, but i can at least get it started again. i also got my IAT sensor mounted, only problem i could see is moister buildup but someone else will butt in about it.

thanks man, its always nice to hear that someone took the time to read the entire thread. its well worth it, loads of info, and good times and bad times, and alot of WTF was i thinking times lol.

update, did sleeving of the coils pigtails and started to get some of the paralell wiring done, like the ground and switched 12v side of the coils, only thing i was confused was there are 2 other wires one was a signal ground and the other was signal power, so which goes where? i confused lol. from my understanding the standalone sends a 12v signal to the ignition coils, but where is the ground signal coming from?

all of the main bulk is now taped up, all the spots that it splits to different parts of the engine is where the tape stops and sleeving starts. every group of wires is sleeved except for the injectors, that is due to the fact that i had already wired the injectors before i had recieved the sleeving. May i also put that the sleeving is very nice stuff, its just really kinda tricky to work with when wiring things into parallel or you have a big group of wires that have alot of heat shrink..
tip for future reminder, use electrical tape to cover any imperfections on heat shrink or else sleeving will just catch onto it, also use tape for the ends asap or else it will start to fray up making it impossible to put heat shrink on it.
