i posted this in my drawing a blank post in the stand alone section, but i figured i'd get double the chance if i post it here to lol, is this the 7mgte injector ballast resistor

its needed for the vi-pec v44 because it only accepts high impedance injectors and i have low imp. inj. this is the specs i have on my injectors

got more work done today. got the engine harness pulled out and ready for "recreation". cleaned the head surface, block surface, and stripped the copper spray and viton off of the head gasket. tomorrow will most likely start the wiring and most likely i will run the wires in a way that they will be hidden from the eyes when looking into the engine bay :) other than that just lots of reading on the vipec system and hope i can learn the system quickly seems fairly simple enough

ebayyyyy lol im trying to remember the brand. i want to say they are nipon. or they start with a N like NPD, idk if i find a box for 'em ill tell you lol pistons and rods i wish i could have had more money for, but that is the reason why im lowering my goal power for now.

i finally got a update again woo. ok so here is what has been done.
cleaned all the viton off all 3 layers of the hks gasket then sprayed it all down with copper spray.
installed head and torqued to 90 ft.lbs "i have arp studs"
stripped paint off of old valve covers and painted it back to black with a hint of metallic
prepped the engine to check fitment of new IC pipes and getting wastegate outlet pipe fitted.

so this is just a glimpse once again into what the engine will look like in the bay. still waiting on the vipec to come, waiting on a call from bob at drift office to tell me where the vipec is :) so hopefully i will know that tomorrow

Probably NPR.. Made in Japan.. Good stuff. Ebay has them for as low as 90.00 shipped right now.. Here are the specs

Pistons with Complete NPR Ring Set (made in Japan)

ian said in another post about npr "not performance rated" well i guess im going to be the tester of that :p although i dont know how far im going to go with power my guess 500-600 range 700 was a goal but due to the lack of internals im not going to risk that.

yes this is the question i ask myself everytime i look at the engine lol. what will be the first to f-up. will it be .... the head gasket.. a rod/s... piston maybe?? valves go outta control? who knows lol, but in the end i have a plan b head and block, tons of rods "although i dont know if i'd want to use them again because i dont know how old they are mileage wise" lots of extra parts just in case.

UPDATE

so i got the vipec, already started wiring it up. testing things as i go along so far i have the TPS wired and configured, ECT, and IAT. map sensor is built in and registering. still have injectors / resistor pack to wire up, CPS, oil pressure sensor, might do a fuel pressure, ignitors. still have to order ls2 coils though, and wideband.

wires will be wrapped once everything is done. anyone see a problem with running wires inbetween the egr plate on the back of the head and coolant line? just wondering dont know how hot its gonna be back there.if not ill just run it on the firewall above it all.
