I got to check it out in person. The swap is very clean and the interior is in awesome condition.

Thanks for the kind review. :)

Nice Car!

Thanks!

Well, I know I haven't had any updates, but that's because I'm still waiting on parts from Toyota... It shouldn't be too much longer and I'll have some pics up and hopefully be swapping turbos.

Haven't you heard, the new LS9 is comin! :)

LOL I'll be happy if I can hang with a STOCK LS7 Corvette. I know that there will always be a faster car. :) 500whp (or a little more, depending on what upgraded twins gets me) should be fun and competitive, especially since 505hp at the crank on the vette = 414.1whp with a %18 drivetrain loss. I'll only weigh a few hundred lbs more. Me at 3500lbs/500whp gives a power to weight ratio of 7. A C6 Z06 Corvette weighing in at 3100lbs and sporting 414.1whp has a power to weight ratio of 7.48. That makes me just barely quicker than a stock LS7 vette, at least until aerodynamics comes in to play. However, that only covers the straight line part which is by far the easiest.

Those videos were awesome, great editing man. Having a kick ass Supra in them didn't hurt, either ;)

Thanks. I had fun making them. :)

Installed an alarm today with two-way paging! Woo! It took forever... I'd almost rather do another 2JZ swap than install another alarm on one of these cars. :3d_frown:

Time to remove that airbag ecu bud. ;)

I fully intend to remove all the airbag crap when I change the steering wheel. For now, I'll let my little light keep shining bright. I really don't even notice it anymore. lol

Well, since I'm here, I might as well give an update:

I have decided that I want to do some more stuff while the car is down for the turbo swap so my attention is currently focused on fixing my Audi which now runs but isn't quite drivable yet. Parts are in the mail to hopefully get it on the road. I have 99.9% of what I need to swap turbos plus a few extra goodies to go in at the same time. Once the Audi can be driven to work and back, the Supra will go under the knife and I'll have something worth posting about. :)

Were did you get your motor and drivr train from. I am thinking of converting my supra from NA to 2JZ-GTTE with a 6 speed trans.

Venus Auto in Sacramento. Btw, I've never heard of a 2JZ-GTTE? :icon_razz

Update time! The turbo swap is still on hold because the Supra is still my daily and I'm not badass enough to try and do it in a day. I'm selling the Audi because the Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection is a nightmare. I'll hopefully replace it with something that drives so the Supra can go under the knife.

In the meantime, I've installed a wideband and squeezed as much boost out of the single as a can before hitting fuel cut. 13.5psi and mid 11's AFR is enough to make the stock 225's scream for mercy until almost through 3rd gear. :) I've also installed Wiisass's steering rack spacers which turned out great, and I'm currently working on a rear seat delete and prepping for a cage. Updates and lots of pics to come.

no updates Collin?

Almost... I was going to swap the turbos today and document all of other stuff I have done but I broke a tap off in the exhaust manifold while trying to tap for the EGT probe. Now I have to figure out how to remove a hardened tap from cast iron. :( Maybe next weekend?

Also... i once took a 1/4 socket and cut off wheel and ground a X out of socket so it would slid over broke tap .. you know the open areas in a tap for the shavings... cant think of name flute ? anyway a broke tap is about as much fun getting out as a hooker on a sail boat...they just dont want to budge
