hindsight being 20/20, might have been good to have the machine shop assemble the bottom end in house, that way if something is wrong its on them. Would have cost more initially but would have saved it in the end. But like you said, assembly isnt that hard as long as you follow proper proceedure and "work clean, not fast".
Either you have had had incredibly bad luck or missmatched/improperly machined parts...or both. Either way it sucks big time but its good to hear you havent given up. I know about being there emotionally, good for you for fighting through it. Take your time, make notes as you go, triple check every step, and we will all keep our fingers crossed for you to have the machine you deserve.
