I started working on a speaker box today for the back of my car. I've had two little speaker boxes back there for a year now and they fly all over the place when Im at the track or driving like a banshee. I'm now making a single box to hold an amp and a single ten inch sub. It should give me some better traction since it's almost over the wheels. I'll post some pictures of it up tomorrow night. I have to get my new speaker wires and other wires so I can put my carpet in. It will be raining all day tomorrow so I won't be able to work on the carpet, but I hope to get the box built. I won't be able to paint it until later on in the week. I've still got to get some paint mixed up.
Mike, I'll be glad to give you a ride in Texas. I"m still planing on having everything done in time to go. I'm waiting on parts from Champion and I"ve been waiting for a week now with no tracking number. I'm calling Jeff monday to find out what the delay is. He told me he had everything I needed in stock.

You will LOVE the single 10 in the supra, its exactly what I am running and it is the perfect amount of bass IMO.
Ive got plans to build a flush mount 12" box for th back in the sapr tire well. And maybe ill make some for others. I do have a small leak though and i need to find where it is so i can stop it before i build it the box. Water leaks in every time it rains, not much, but aenough to get things a little wet...
The crossover was hanging out of my door because i temporarily had them monted inside the door. I have relocated them to the kick panels now...ForcedTorque;924220 said:

How many square feet of insulator did you end up using? Did you have anough or do you wish you had some more? All in all, how many square feet would you have ordered to do it all over again?

I asked him the same thing out of curiosity with no response, But from my knowledge, 50-65 sq ft will be plenty to sound deaden the car (and add about 20lbs)....rakkasan;926352 said:

I bought two rolls that are two feet wide. I think they are fifty feet long so that's 200sq. ft. It is definately plenty, but I'm not sure one roll would have been enough. It cost me 90.00 and it may have been 115 shipped at Pat said. I've did the back where my speaker box is going and I ended up going over the transmission tunnel between the seats and I still have plenty left over.
I haven't been posting much because I've been sleepy and not getting on. I took my turbo housing to the machine shop last night to have a 90degree elbow welded on to it. I'm suppose to receive the parts from Toyota that I've been waiting on. The last two shipments from Jeff at Champion has really pissed me off. I ordered my 2jz waterneck, bypass pipe, and 2jz belt on monday of last week. It didn't mail out until friday. He promised me on monday when I ordered it that it was all in stock and would go out that day because I told him what a hurry I was in. I haven't received any tracking numbers so I called him yesterday (monday) and asked him about it and he said he did all he could do but it was the shipping departments fault. I told him he should have followed up with the shipping department. I just hope it gets here today as he said it would.
I started putting the carpet in last night and it's going to be a little harder than I thought. I will get it in today though and I'll post pictures up this evening. Hopefully I'll get the car running this weekend. I still have a lot of welding to do, but I've done about everything I can do until the rest of my parts get here.
I've got to order another walbro fp since I'm going to install a second one in the tank. George had someone he knows make us a mounting bracket for them, and he's also ordered us a magnetic blanket for them. Who's the man? George is da man!

I took a few pictures, but it was getting late. I don't want to post up some half ass'd pictures of my new carpet. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get some better ones. Sorry for the disappointment, but that's what I'm really good at.
