Well, I got the transmission installed today along with all of my new clutch goodies. This thing should hold extremely well now. I can't wait to roast the tires in it once I get the motor and clutch broke in............:burnout:

Here is what I did after that.

I've still got to put the sound deadening stuff in the back. I also started making a speaker box for the back, but it's also got to cover up my battery since it's relocated to the back. I don't know if I'll finish it tomorrow or not, because I have a basketball game at 2:00 and I still have to go buy an amp for the speaker box tomorrow morning and I'm going to the dyno to watch MacJac dyno his 1j tomorrow evening. I will take more pictures of the new carpet and speaker box tomorrow and show you the progress I make.

So when you pulled the carpet did you find those quarters that inertia took out of my pocket at the track that night. Please put them in a ziplock bag and mail them to Mr. Torque, 3 (that's Dale Sr.'s number) Skoal spit Lane, Deep South, Bammy 7M123

I didn't find one penny under the seats or carpet and I would have bet a million dollars that they'd be some money under there. I found a few screws that goes to the dash and other supra parts, but no monies. I hope it looks good with my new carpet. It isn't the stock color so I don't know how it's going to look. Hopefully I'll get it in this weekend and can take some new pictures of the interior. I've got a lot of cleaning up to do. My car is filthy and needs a good detailing.

Yeah, it will actually be quiet in there for a change. I can't wait to get to drive it. I have enough sound deadening to go over everything again to really make it quiet. I will probably put it up towards the firewall and tranny tunnel to keep out as much as that noise as possible. The whole box only weighed about seventy pounds so with that and the speaker box, I've added about 150 pounds probably. That just means less tire spin for me though, so I'm not that worried about it.

I believe thats the sound deadening i recommended him to use. Its made by Elemental designs. This stuff is very effective and half the price of the infamous Dynamat! I have used it in a few cars and just got done lining my doors with it.

They make a few kinds of sound deadening, I use the V1SE2 because its comparetively lighter weight, and very affordable, yet very effective. Their "UE" stuff is twice the price (same as Dynamat) and is twice as good as dynamat, but its pretty heavy.

BTW Jay, just how much of that stuff did you buy? 50 sq/ft?

It was 90 dollars Pat for two rolls. I can't remember how many square feet, but it's more than enough to do the whole car.

JMC, it just sticks to whatever you want it to stick too. No heat gun or anything. You pull the plastic wrap paper off and stick it.

Kristel, I don't work alot, but when I do, I get something done.

Thanks guys and gals.
