My comments where not all directed at you (window shopper statement) although the part about the ability to be "comfortable with it if you have tuned with any other unit", could include you and definitely all others. I'm serious about this....this unit is not that complicated! I'll say it gain, this unit is very user friendly.
Feel comfortable ordering it and reaching out to Bob, Doc or even myself if you need assistance. I'm not a tuning specialist, I just follow my own advice! If I say that you should educate yourself on what you have purchased and plan on installing, I do just that. Trust me, I have seen your posts to Bob, Mike and Marriane from FTS about not being able to purchase one via there website...I had already preordered mine, but was happy to see another MKIII brother stepping up!

I guess the problem is that Im too much of a team player and when I don't see the team reacting as hungry as myself, I tend to get dissappointed! Heck, I already bought mine, so there is no special discount or hook up coming to me for pushing the product. I'm just a Supra lover who would like to see the whole community benefit from a good product! And from a professional stand point, I understand the importance of the need for consumer support of a particular product, if said product is expected to survive in the marketplace.
Enough said....HAPPY SHOPPING!

It's all good then bro, I think we have the same team spirit here and we certainly are on the same side.

yessir, all that the HAC mod is a running a wirea out that allows you to turn the internal HAC on/off.

Hey, Doc.

I'm really wanting to get this unit. One thing that is stopping me is I really am wanting a unit with a good secondary injector control. I know this was discussed earlier in this thread. Can you tell me when and if this is going to be released? I'm currently using 550cc primary's and 330cc x 6 with bungs welded right into the intake pointing streight at the valves. and 2 rails both being feed by 255lph x2 pumps and being controled with an hks aic. I know I prolly should be going with a standalone at this level but the aem ignition problems are kinda turning me off. I like the support behind the aem so until that is totaly solved. The maft pro or the e-ultimate may be the way to go for me.

at this time, the MAFT pro won't be adding additional injector control. it's an option in the future (with support for two? injectors, probably not six...) but it's not on the priority list @ all....

LOL. Yeah I know the feeling....

Actually the HKS AIC I have only came with a harness for 2 injectors and I had to make one for 6 so thats no big deal. I was just curious if it was a for sure deal that it was going to be added in the future. I can still run the AIC in the mean time with this unit though.

Yeah I was worried about this when I first did it. It appered that HKS just sold a different injector harness that pluged in to the main. At the time HKS was backed up on all there orders and It was suppose to be like 2 months before I could get one. So I made one. I'm still worried about this so I constantly check it with the test feture and it dumps in so much fuel it will almost kill the moter. (Not the best thing to do) but rather it kill the moter working than really kill the moter not working. Its been doing ok for about 1.5 years now with nurmious mid 11 sec passes at the track. The cool thing about this set up is that you don't have to worry about your timming being affected as much with afc's and other piggy backs.

Yeah, It was cool when I first did it, but now it is a mess. In Japan they did this all the time because large injectors suppoably stuck when detuned for steet driving. Now I guess they don't have that problem anymore due to tecnology getting better. As for the whole timeing thing. Sounds like you guys are on your way to solving that. Goodluck. Be looking for my order in a month or 2. In process of freshing up my moter.

Just a thought to maybe make the idle tune a little bit easier...

The ISC obviously controls idle and in stock form pulls air from the accordian hose. Yet the IAT sensor is way behind that in virtually stand still air in front of the throttle body.

Would it make it easier to tune idle to be buttery smooth if the ISC pulled air that was being accurately by the MAFT Pro. And not pulling much cooler air from in front of the turbo?

The only part I was unsure about with this was if the ISC valve could take boost. So if someone could clear that up as well it'd be great! thanks!

I'd go with a yes on this since many (including myself) have been running the MAFT in blow-thru which requires the ISC to be plumbed after the MAF in a pressurized section of the intake...

the ISC is only really active during idle....so there's no real tuning issues associated w/intake air temp.
