All I know is that when you lower your timing, you get shitty horsepower numbers.........

I dyno'd yesterday and made 467rwhp and 443torque @ 17psi. Back in march, before I blew it up, I was making 510rwhp @ 18psi, but the motor didn't last very long.

I'm pretty sure that once I replace the map sensor with the 3bar gm that I"ve ordered, my problems will be fixed. My stinger is showing the boost falling off, but the dyno isn't. The dyno shows boost also and it stays pretty steady at 17psi with the stinger. What got me thinking it wasn't actually losing it was the first pull on wastegate. It was showing 13-15 psi steady, but my datalog was shoing 18psi and then fell off to 11. I think the map sensors are sending the wrong signals to the stinger.
If I hadn't been so poor, I would have did the tests Ian wanted me to do two weeks ago, but I am so I didn't. Now things are all picking up in one day. I got a job to do for a local college that I was wanting, and got my car tuned all in one day. What a great world we live in at times.

Thanks to all of those that helped and those that were here for moral support.
Meth injection and upgraded coils, here I come.............:evil2:

That's what I've been told Scott, but it doesn't ever lean out. Hopefully once I get the new map sensor, I can install it and have it retuned just to be on the safe side.

That's weird.. I'd think you'd be leaning out if the stinger thought PSI was dropping, and it actually wasn't..

Did you have an problems with the stinger logger? I think its just the logger on that part, be cause the car ran fine and didn't lean out so I assume the actual ecu functions are fine its something with the logger on it.

Are there any firmware updates for the stinger? maybe you need to update to the newest versions.

I belive I have been trying to help you with this since the first page....I know lol.

You're MAP sensors are not bad there just 2 BAR Absolute MAP sensors. Once you hit 1bar guage they are at 5V and will not read any higher. This is why you do not see the drop on the AVCR.

Jay says the stinger has its own boost source, so I assume it might have its own built in map sensor. I havn't verified it though.

The 2jz map sensor is what I've been using. I switched to the 1jz and it seems to be doing about the same. They worked great earlier this year, but now, not so good.

It does have it's own vacuum line to the manifold, but I'm sure it gets it's reading from the stock map sensor since it's wired into the harness which is also plugged into the stinger.

I never had any issues like this with the stinger/logger, I even pressure tested my MAP sensor with my air compressor, read fine up to 40+ PSI. Fuel and ignition maps only let you go up to 29.1psi tho :(.

Yes it has a built in map sensor

Nah, it uses the built in map sensor, there is no way to wire in an external.

See diagram on page 13, it list all 24 connections to the ECU.

I don't know how to tune it any better and neither does anyone else locally. I'd love to be able to drive it somewhere, drop it off and then pick it up with it driving perfectly, starting perfectly, and boosting perfectly. I just don't have that option. I read the stinger link you posted and that's probably the tenth time I've read it, but my tune is what it is. I don't think I can make it any better.

Yea, at this point I really don't know what else to point the blame at..

just a re-fresher.. I know you swapped out WG springs, did you swap out the WG itself?

Have you pressure tested the IC system yet?

It has to be the EMS, his AVCR and the dyno show no signs of boost dropping.
