Here's what I'm doing for the oil feed fitting. The stock fitting on the right is oil galley plug for cylinder 6. To use it as an oil feed fitting, I drilled 3/8 through and then tapped M12x1.5 to match the turbo fitting. I also gound flats in the sides so I can put a 19mm wrench on it. Then I spot faced the surface for a good seal to the crush washer. And -because I had it sitting out anyway- a little gun blue to limit oxidation :)

I went with the banjo, because I needed to somehow work with the existing plug which is M16x1.5.

Not sure how I'd use a compression fitting on the block?

Get an adapter like the 7M, 1JZ and 2JZ guys do. A 16x1.5 thread male end to the AN feed size you need for the turbo. Example, an 16x1.5 to a -4AN male end. Just a suggestion, not saying your choice is wrong or bad.

No, I think would have preferred that, had I thought of it! You wouldn't think it, but tapping that thing was a huge pain.

If you want, you can change it and get hydraulic hoses made to avoid any leaks. It does look good right now the way it is, but if it leaks, you know what you are going to do.

Get the braided hose away from the manifold and you can get a sleeve for it if you can't help routing it.

You should also wrap the manifold in heat wrap, less heat in the engine bay is always a good thing.

Is that the drain?

What sort of braided hose are you using?

The braided hose is the feed. It's Russel -6 AN.

I don't like wrap, so I ceramic coated instead. Pondering trying to put the original heat shield on.

Here's my new valve cover. Had a buddy weld up the old oil filler and move it to where it won't perferate the hood. It's gold powderoat, but in pictures it look pale yellow :( Looks pretty sweet in person, though.

So I have my intake manifold off for mounting my new cam cover and my injectors, and I found this:

The ports on the intake manifold are 1/4" smaller in width and about 1/8" smller in height than the head ports. Is it worth it to port the intake?
