i'm just going to through this out there clay city drag is about 35 mins from my house a few of you all have been there and know that we have a few supras there. i don't know if you all have any intrested in try to do some racing then maybe head down to the house for a cook out. i will check and see if dad (too_stand) would be up to it. the city we live in is campton very small zip is 41301 if you want to do some mapping and think on it, i know of a local in clay city that has a portable dyno that with a enought people might agree to bring it down to do some dynoing at the drag strip. just a thought

sounds pretty cool, the only thing is the track closes at 10pm and that might be a little late to start a cook out for some people.

the portable dyno idea sounds good! what type of dyno is it?

jason- i dont think i remember you, but i do know boost lee's car. i have seen a couple black mkiii's local. anything that might make yours stand out?

There he is! :icon_razz

Mike - You say only a few Supras? :biglaugh:
I think that would be a great idea, especially if Clay City Drags is only 35 minutes away or so. Then again, it would probably be more convenient and easier to find this park that is near by.

I'm okay for a portable dyno as long as it's a Dynojet. :naughty:

Nah, nothing too major to stand out. Have a set of 18" chevlon racing 6 spokes. Hasn't been on the road much since repairing the house. I am about 1 1/2 hours west of louisville, near frenchlick.

ah ok. i thought you were in the clarksville/jeff area. i probably havent seen your car then.

mike- would the bbq place still be open that late? also, more info on the dyno if you can. type, price, how many people we would need, and if has a wideband.

Nothing has came through for renting out Southfields for Road Course. Political Cluster between Louisville Metro Gov. & Contractor/Developer. So as of now how does Sat 11/10 look for dyno, cookout/grp dinner & Sun 11/11 for drags at Clay City & show & shine?

i'll have to find out some more info for cc. sometimes they have test and tune sat for car wars, then elims on sunday. if you didnt go to qualify on sat, you arent racing sunday. then other times, its all one day on sunday. i'll find out for sure.

also, i kinda liked the idea of the dyno at the track. still plenty of time to decide what we want.

Yea but most of the time portable dynos aren't lowered Supra friendly. At least thats in the back of my mind along with calabration accuracy. Would like to eliminate the issues we had last Oct. off outerloop. :3d_frown: I like the idea of driving up, strapping down, ripping through some pulls w/o worries of ripping off my front lip. :aigo:

yeah i know what you mean. but they have other type of dynos such as the one they had at the scion shootout that fast enuff brought, and also the dynapack. i had thought maybe it was one of those.

after we get some more details, we might want to make a poll to see what the interest is in. if 10 people want to dyno, and 2 race, or 10 want to race and 2 dyno, etc. thats why i thought the idea of having both at the same place was really cool. could appeal to both sets of people, or even some who wanted to do both.

My supra has the green light, hopefully by then I can find out my problem *doh*

But yeah, my MA70 =D =D =D can be there. PM me the dates we decide, or just edit them to the front, or whatnot. Have we decided on a date yet, or a place?

I'm sure we will tinker around with the date when the time gets closer.
