Thanks for all the pictures! I'll probably use this write-up to my advantage since I'm a bit more book-smart than hand-smart, if you know what I mean.

Keep at it. There's NOTHING wrong with my engine, per se, but a rebuild with mild NA modifications would be nice.

YYYEEAAAHHH...too bad i'm not going to be able to use that one in there...i might be able to sell it i guess...i dunno keep it as back up for my other engine i'm getting....I'm getting my head milled down like the block so i'll prolly keep the greddy metal 1.5mm and get higher compression :)

Higher compression can work against you in a very bad way.

Your'e playing with the most fragile area of the engine.

Just a thought.

Are you speaking of the hg only??

You should be able to sift through that and use a lot of it.

I wouldn't use the top line gasket man. The 1.5mm you purchased is far superior.

Good Luck with wich ever you choose.

I'm going to have to look in my set. I hope my exhaust manifold gasket is like yours, and not just graphite and paper or whatever the heck they make these things out of.

Edit: Yep. Mine is exactlly the same.

I come from a land down under
7M is heavier but smoother across the rev range

6M spins up quicker but is a little harsh by comparison.

I had the above pair of cranks in the same motor on back to back builds with the only change being the cranks so feel qualified to comment.

The 7M will give better service life for the bearings but will be a touch sluggish down low or under acceleration.

Enter "the solution" ;)

There aren't too many issues that can't be solved in a 7M by chucking insane amounts of $$$ at it! (Lightened 7M crank)

Insane amounts of money indeed.
Wait a minute...., did we agree on something. I'm kidding Ij.
Thanks for helping here. I like that light crank. It's less filling and tastes great.

What's up figit. How's your ride running?
