today i mounted my dp,which took all of about 2 minute's.i also mounted the odyssey pc925mjt under the ic pipe where the battery tray once was.i used some angle iron to hold the battery from sliding side to side.i used the factory hold down bracket to keep it held down tight.

i now have my diff and driveshaft bolted back in.i filled the r154 with some redline mt90 and bolted up the v2 shifter w/momo knob.
i wired up the boost controller kit for the power fc and ran some an-4 line's for the vacuume to the tial wastegate.i need to get a couple more fitting's to finish it up though.

i did have a problem with my upper radiator hose leaking.the 2j waterneck sit's lower then the 1j and 7m,making the hard pipe go up to meet the radiator.the worm clamp's wouldn't tighten up enough to stop the leaking even with the motor not running.after i hear the motor run and i'm confident,i'll address little thing's like this.i might just get a set of silicone hose's,but for now i got some little t-bolt clamp's to help seal it up.i was kinda nervous cranking down on the plastic end tank with them though.

in this pic you can see the angle of the radiator pipe and the little t-bolt's

another pic from a little further back.the 1jz's look great in the supra bay,but the 2jz is even meaner looking.the motor sit's so high in the bay it fill it up nice.once the hood is on it should look huge:)

well i finished hooking up all the vacume line's.put the gas tank in place, wired a couple of relay's and some power wire's to the fuel pump's.
cranked the motor to get some oil flowing, think it might have taken a while to get oil pressure because of the oil cooler.
i then installed the fuse's for the fuel pump's and checked for leak's.once every thing looked good,i went for it.
i have to admit i was nervous as hell, but damn thing fired right up.the motor doesn't want to hold an idle, but seem's to run nice and smooth.

Keith, that's awesome man. I am alsmost on your heals too lol. Still finishing up the wiring.
Its always nerve wrecking to turn the key. or even bput the battery cables on after a wiring job. :)
It started and that is always a good sign.

You are going to have to replace the 2.5twin turbo badge on the bottom right:biglaugh:

Good work looks great.
maybe a red "X" on the 2.5 ;)

a few thing's to look at soon.sound's like my throwout bearing make's noise when the clutch is pushed down, but the tranny i rebuilt seem's to go through the gear's nice.i also might have sprung a coolant leak in my radiator, which is old anyway's.the rubber that seal's the flex-a-lite fan's to the radiator some how got into one of the fan blade's,which might have made a hole.it also might be the upper hard letting some coolant out.i need to look at it a little harder

well,i'm pretty much done with under the hood.really just need to scrub it clean and polish up a couple of thing's.i got my intake pipe and mid-pipe back from the welder.i powdercoated the intake pipe after work and will most likely get the exhaust together tommorow.no more open dp and i might actually get to run it for awhile without filling the garage with co2's;).i have some new cv boot's and wheel bearing's that should be in tommorow from yota,so i can get the rear together.i should also have my front caliper's bolted up with the new goodrich brake line's i got today.

i got my exhaust all bolted up.i started it up and she sound's nice, but still got a leaky radiator.i thought it was the upper hard pipe, but it's got a hole for sure.i do have a cuople of spare's to replace it ,just didn't want to pull it all appart again.

i'll be playing around with the brake's tommorow.i need to grind the "nissian" off the caliper's,then paint them up.there reman caliper's,so not much prep work before paint.

i also picked up my wheel bearing's and cv boot's at the dealer.they know me very well there and take my order's over the phone.i don't even have to tell them who i am because they know my phone voice:)

Yota knows you by name? If you weren’t doing the swap that would be a really bad thing!

You said you were using Nissan brakes, what are they off of?

This is something I am going to have to remember as big brake kits are way too expensive! (but you can also go mkiv brakes right?)

Is the adapter bracket something available to purchase?
