thanks again sean.moe i've been watching your build too, look's like you might be driving down the road before me:)
well i did end up getting the trans bolted to the motor.it was no easy task for me by myself.the motor was sitting on the ground on a dolly and the trans hanging from the cherry picker with a strap.i ended up getting it together but hope nothing got messed up in the process.the input shaft going through both disc's and into the pilot bearing took the wind out of my sail after a long day at work.
i also ended up buying a reman steering rack for the car($400).i ordered some poly rack bushing's to bolt it down with, but they kinda went missing and i'm not sure they even made it to the us(shipped begining of march).i ended up just using the original bushing's and bolted it down.i couldn't bring myself to pay for another set from toyota.i might drop the motor in this weekend.a pic of the rack with the return line all bolted in,just need to make the high pressure line once the motor's in.

your are right about empty pocket's
mostly from poor planning on my part.stock 7m to bpu 7m,then 1jz swap to bpu 1jz to 1jz single, now 2jz single and many other thing's.it wouldn't be so bad if all the performance part's were interchangeable.well i guess you live and learn;)

thanks for the interest guy's.cool to see two very big mkIII power player's in my thread;)

lost my pc for a little while, but got a few thing's done.the motor is in and i bolted alot of thing's back in the bay.it is filthy as hell and the very few polished part's i have need some serious attention.the intake pipe will be powdercoated later once i add a couple of an-10's to it.i'm not going to do much polished part's,the coating is so much easier to keep up with.i even pulled my alternator appart and coated that.all my power steering cooler line's are done in single stage reflective chrome along with the hood latch.just loaded this pic and will try to get a couple more up.

i have all the a/c stuff for the car and could be reinstalled in the future.the only thing i would need to do is move a few thing's around.i just didn't want the cluter the bay and alot of the part's are full of overspray form a bad paint job.up here in the north there is only about 2 month's of hot weather, not to many beach day's out here;)

on a side note sean.i need to hit you up for a couple of walboro fuel pump's.

yesterday i did a few thing's but my goal was to get the oil cooler mounted.i didn't want to mount it between the ic and radiator.i ended up putting it behind the driver's head light.a good portion of it will be blocked by the bumper support, but the vent's in the greddy bumper will force air on the other half.i had to mount it at an angle because of the size of it and wouldn't have got much bigger in there.i'm happy with the way it came out and you can't see it with the bumper on.it is a B&M cooler with an-10 hose from an earl's thermostat sandwich plate.

got a few more thing's done.i finished installing the chassis harness.put my front bumper back together.looked through all the moulded heater hose's at the part's store and found 2 that worked out decent.also ordered a lower hose, which should be here tommorow.i'll be going by toyota for some coolant during the day tommorow.
i also worked on my XS pooper(power) downpipe that a friend sold me for a measly $20.it is brand new and fit's good with the manifold i'm running.i do wish i had installed the 1jz waterpipe that wrap's the block, because the usdm 2j one put's the heater hose to close to the dp for my liking.i'm going to wrap the dp to help keep the heat off it.i actually took a piece of wood and tweaked the water pipe a bit for more clearance.

here's a pic of my dp with the new o2 sensor and wide band sensor.i also installed the egt probe into the dp by drilling and tapping one of the bung plug's.it's really not an ideal spot for it,but it's a greddy gauge in celcuis and i have no idea what is too hot anyway's;)

picked up my 7mgte lower radiator hose today.once i seen the hose,i was like no way.took it home and it isn't anything like the 1jz lower, but fit's pretty good after trimming about 5-6" from the part that goes to the radiator.bolted in the radiator, poured my $17 a gallon toyota red in(shit was $14 last year).
i also ended up wrapping my dp and should bolt it up tommorow.then it's time to make a mid pipe to meet up with the back half of the exhaust.
i've been trying to get some thing's done every day after work, but it's kinda going slow
