It's still not finished yet. :D

I can still pull it out.
Y R U H8N? The baby runs and drives. :evil2: You can't pull anything out. I win. :biglaugh: But seriously, I'm glad both our shit will be done soon. Dyno be damned, my baby is bone stock. I'll dyno when I get some mods. But the real race will in the fall.

Sleeping soundly at 935 Motorsports. It was ready to come home Saturday but we had the Bowling Meet and then I have that pesky work thing Mon-Fri. :dunno: She'll be home Saturday.

I like what I do, so for me it's more than just a means to an end. I manage a ton of money for a lot of people. I can't just "call in sick" or "take a personal day" for my car.

I'm not taking a shot at you (I don't even know what you do), but I know that you don't have 2 kids, a wife, and in-laws that all count on you to bring home the bacon. The car can wait until Saturday. While the "race" or competition is fun, I don't want to win that badly.

Not what I meant at all. I only say that because I hate my job. I work directly with the owners of an auto shop in Oakland. Let's just say that "inept" doesn't even begin to describe these guys when it comes to owning/running an auto shop. Believe me when I say that this is the worst job I've ever had the displeasure of having.

I remember you telling me about that. I'm sorry for your sucky job. I may go down to 935 tomorrow and God willing drive her home. However nothing is set in stone.

She's home! She's running, driving, and pulls like a freight train! However, there's still some work to be done.

I took the train to downtown San Diego yesterday, and then the trolley to Spring Valley where Robert picked me up and we cruised to 935 Motorsports. After doing battle with some couplers, she was running, and had survived a few test drives so we gave it the ultimate test drive about 20 miles on the freeway to Robert's house. She made it! :biglaugh:

935 Motorsports FTW!

After a quick check at the gas station and some much needed grub at Carl's Jr., I ventured on toward the O.C. About 20 miles into past Robert's my the dreaded alternator lights came on. The car interior lights got dimmer and dimmer, and she sputtered and died somewhere in Carlsbad.

Thank God I got the AAA. They showed up and towed me the rest of the way home! Like a tard I wore shorts and a polo shirt, and by the time AAA got there I was shivering. Cold doesn't usually bother me, but without enough juice in the car to get the window up all the way, I was damned cold. While I waited I called Jose at Kaizen Motorsports and he assured me that he had an alternator, and was ready and willing to help me with any and every thing I needed to finish my car. The tow guy got me home safely and dropped the car off.

So this morning I called Robert and he walked me through a couple of double and triple checks and we determined that it was in fact the alternator. Then I called Jose and he was on his way to the shop. We arranged a time for me to come by and pick up a replacement alternator.

I don't know if you guys know this, but whenever my car has broken down, or whenever I needed a part I have always called Jose. Even when Mike Urbano was still around, Jose always had the parts, and he was always willing to lend a hand. Even with this swap, when I needed a map sensor he hooked it up. Not only did he have it, he shipped it that same day, for free!

I show up to Jose's shop and there are literally 10, yes, 10 Supras there being worked on and waiting to be worked on. There's a reason this guy is so busy. He knows his shit, and he's always ready to lend a hand. There was a Supra next door at the paint shop, one on the lift, a Soarer outside... and I thought I was tired after 1 swap. He is busier than a one-toothed beaver in a wood pile.

Jose hooked me up with an alternator FOR F'N FREE! He said it was a welcome to the 1jz family present. Damn it Jose, I'm happy to be here, even happier that you're a friend of mine, and damned happy to live in SoCal!

Kaizen Motorsports FTMFW!!!

Then I called Savy aka Emission to see if he was willing to lend a hand. I called him because he is always down for a meet, and he loves to work on Supras. He said he'd be there and we set up a time to meet at my place.

So I head home, but stopped by Kragen to buy some jack stands. Once home Savy and his homeboy Robert were waiting for me. Those guys are awesome! I was expecting them to coach or walk me through the process, but they jumped right in and had her down in no time! Then she needed a test run, and what better way to test than to blow the doors off Savy's GS on the 405. :naughty: Traffic and CHP presence stalled the contest a bit, but I think that the 1jz had the 2jz-ge pretty well handled. Thanks Savy and Robert!

Savy aka Emission FTW!

I turned around and brought her home. For posterity I thought I'd shoot some pics. She's dirty as hell and I am still waiting for my black couplers. There is still tons of work to be done in the interior and under the hood, but here's a couple of pics. Enjoy!

SoCal is awesome. SupraNick and I are getting together tomorrow to wash her, and put on the finishing touches on her. I hope to have some really good pics tomorrow. Stay tuned!
