7m is a breeze to work on IMO? when then engines in the car its not hard to get to anything other then the stock oil filter location but turbo's a breeze to remove, intake, the head.. twin turbo's are a bitch tho well atleast the 1g-gte's are...

the 7m has like 70 brackets on the turbo, the oil return is a pita to get off.. you cant see it.. wrap over intake sucks for anything top end.. have to pull the tstat to get the timing cover off.. alternator tensioner sucks.. Have to pull off the PS resivour to reset the CPS..

The turbo comes off in 20 minutes... I guess some people really do have problems working on them. :dunno:

I am pretty new to my 7m-ge but compared to all the crap I had before this engine is like Lego.
I just did my injectors and I only needed the 12MM socket. Now thats good design. On an american I would have needed about 8 sockets some imperial some metric, a vise grip and a torch...

Try a 3000gt. They have a 3L twin turbo V6, AND a transmission in the engine bay.
