lol.. well my car has been smoking really bad.. might be my valve stem seals.. so i was thinking maybe easier to just get a new head?? I dont know im just thinking about what i should do. I need to do a compression test first to rule out the piston rings.

Steve, I know there are a good handful of Greek restaurants in central Indy,
But I don't have any personal feedback on what's good.

Will you be making it in your car? :)

Of 67 "Registered" Supra's in attendance (No, Caleb, you weren't included :biglaugh: ),
So far, we are down 9 cars...for whatever reason...
(Had to take dog out, Wedding of someone you don't know, etc). :nono:

Weather is looking good so far...and I can't wait!

As of right now...I will be there in my Supra.
It's been great driving it, just trying to figure out why it's running warmer than I'd like.
I'm very anal though about this car/investment, so anything is still on the line.
We'll see. :)

Hope everyone else is getting things figured out and planning for the trip Friday/Saturday!

Jeff

Hopefully most of those registered will show! Would be a good group to represent at the show. So what is the current count on those doing dyno runs? I know we're one of them and we're really looking forward to getting some numbers on this 1UZ swap. I think I am running really rich too but no tools here to find out.

We'll be leaving Kzoo at 3:30AM on Saturday so we can make it to the meeting spot before everyone heads out to the track. We'll be driving this route:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sou...1.14557,-83.638916&spn=5.467713,13.809814&z=7

If anyone is along this route, feel free to join us on the road to Indy!

Also, as a reminder, check out my For Sale thread in my sig. I need these parts gone asap so willing to slash the prices significantly and haul the parts down for those who want them. Better than someone having to pay shipping for a head or block! :) I'll need to know if anyone wants any of these parts by tomorrow at 5PM EST in order to pack them up for the trip.

See y'all there!

If you're leaving at 3:30AM, I'd surely hope you'll get here on time with no problems.
Last year, we didn't have any late stragglers driving long distances,
But for whatever reason you aren't able to get to the Initial meet spot by 9AM, Plan a secondary trip straight to O'Reilly Raceway Park. :)

***********ATTENTION*************
If you'll be arriving to Indy any time tonight after 6PM,
After you've got yourself situated, Feel free to call me as we'll be heading
out for some "cruising/hang out" and dinner on the Southside of Indy.
But probably not until 8-9PM or so.

Weather report:
For Saturday, it looks like it could be a little cloudy, but by Saturday daytime,
It should be cleared out by then! :)

Drive safe everyone, and don't forget your digital cameras!

I will be there, no AE86, Cressida or Supra :-(. Took the 86 out for a drive and it's making a weird noise/vibration at 55mph+, so it's out. Stupid question, it's $10 per person, are kids free or do they have to pay also? I will have my 2 and 4 yr old sons with me.

Hey, people! That was GREAT!

INDY 2K9 was a blast! Just home awhile ago back here in Ohio... and after a MAD RUSH since March 8th, I was able to SHOW with the car... and MEET with the other fellow Supra (and kind) owners in a super-ra time of hanging out with our cars and our tales. From coolant-less sevenem's on dyno runs, to hose popping, oil leaking, smoke billowing, horsepower hunting and a desperate effort to ward off chills from the ripping winds and our ill-clad fair-weather hopefuls... at the end of the day, the sun was out, we were ALL likely sunburned (without realizing it) and plenty fatigued as a common-collective of our automotive affections.

Thanks to EVERYONE for a great time of looking, talking, laughing, and empathy of sorrowful episodes shared. It all went by too quickly, and the hindsight regrets of not investing more in the personal interactions with everyone will just have to haunt me until NEXT TIME!;)

Here's a few of the pics I managed to snap amidst my distracted efforts to wipe away the weeks dust, dirt, and rain-residue (NOT to mention the Wilwood BREAK-IN dust!) and a preoccupation with dyno-runs amiss... all things tolled, it was a good start to what I hope will develop into a regular obsession. (If my WIFE heard that, she'd be considering that "irreconcilable differences" clause thing...:icon_surp)

Enough of my mindless rant... and on with a token set of a few of the pics I snagged!:biglaugh:
