lol...totally almost random guess of ignorance. shot? u mean of nitrous? i was thinking with none.

but i dont even know what kind of numbers any given "shot" can produce in any given HP range...sooo... maybe my guess is a bit high...

i figured a slipping clutch would have really hurt your previous numbers and that you could gain at least 50 hp with a non-slipping one... but since i dont know much about this stuff it wasnt really scientific prediction. :)crazy1: )

LOL...That number would have to be with Nitrous. A 100 shot will generally give you 80-120 depending on the tuner and how safe he likes to be. I plan to eventually run 150 minimum when I get a clutch. (this is again a temp solution.)

My boost number, I would guess to be 830 with a decent clutch. Maybe less....who knows.

oh ok...coolio.

i figured a slipping clutch would make you loose a lot of HP at the wheels...shows how little i know

i'm not even really sure how dyno runs go down... sure i can see how they apply resistance or something but how they measure it with gearing and all that...i guess most of the testing it done in the final gear...meh it confuses me. i'm just rambling pointlessly. sry.

Now Im 34, the business is slowing down, and I dont have so much expendable cash right now... No hurricanes means slow work... When I started this, I didnt expect to spend this much... Ive already got over $12000 in the car... Now I need about another $2000, and it seems like Im tryin to loose weight, the first 50 pounds is easy, the last 10 are hard as hell...

I took out tranny last weekend with the help of a good pal Dave. aka (Grimjack) Bought a Feramic for now until Spec comes out with the now CF twin disk for the 7M! :naughty: They told me that it will be in the next 3-4 months which would be perfect since summer will be over. I am sure this will hold for boost but doubt it for nitrous. RPS didn't want to do anything and noone else makes a good clutch that will hold the power. Spec is coming though for us. (will se how this works out soon enough and I will keep everyone updated)

Is the Spec CF setup reasonably priced?

Hey Brad. They have no price just yet. I have been speaking to the person in charge of making this and I will have the first one and to test it limits! :biglaugh: They say it will hold what I want no problem.

The Giken? Yeah I thought of it but I have not heard of anything good for power wise. Spec is a great company and so is Tilton. If the price is half of a Tilton then we are good to go. Might be less than half but I won't know a price until they get one to me. They did say it will be a bolt in kit. :)

Duane

Edit: I did tell them that I wanted more than 1000 RWHP and 900 RWTQ so that will make sure they have something good. I don't expect 900 tq but you have exaggerate a lil ;)

OS Giken makes a twin plate and a triple plate for the 7m, and the triple is rated for over 850. They also say the triple has been tested to 1000 with no slipage. They also make a quad plate for the jza70, but to run that you would need to have a flywheel made to fit the 7m. The clutch already fits the r154 of course. The quad is rated for 1200 hp and has been tested to 1500 hp with no slipage, as reported by os giken.

What cost is this? for both twin ans triple. Spec is making a bolt-in with no custom fab needed. Also..where would I get one if it was a route from Giken if I wanted to take.
