I've been talking with Gary via PM and he's cool about revealing his specs, I've suggested he head over here!

There are 2 vids of his car making a pass one @ 10 psi and one @22 on his site it's awesome and you can hear it turning the slicks to half track!

No, its not done... This just makes me even sadder than before... Putting a spoon and salt in an old wound... :(

I guess on a positive note, I have built a motor that can easily hold the power I wanted, and still want... The only question is, will the turbo I have make it? Then the other question is, when the hell am I going to get this thing in and running? Then the other question is, where will I find the money to finish this friggin thing? *sighs*

turbo should make it (gt4067 right?) as for time... got me there, and money.... do what we all do... charge it! lol j/k

oh hey bud i'm sorry...

but best of luck...i think having a motor built that can handle those numbers is a HUGE step... you cant build a castle without bricks...

who cares if it takes a long time... i wish i was where you're at....

good luck finishing! dont feel bad! i meant to seal the windows in my car, took the interior out, and its been out for months because i'm too lazy to finish...now that....is something to be ashamed of... LOL.:biglaugh: :icon_conf :nono:

I think it always difficult to stick to the budget that you initially set.
As time goes by, you will realize that the build is costing you more and more...and it seems like it never ending

making big power from the 7m is like re inventing the wheel...

The amount of money it's cost duane to do what he has done is staggering.... Well when you consider that a 2jz can do it so easily....

But then again.. having one of the worlds baddest 7m's is dff cool too...

Don't get me wrong not bashing duane, he's an amazing guy and his car his car is astonishing, it's just that i don't have his dedication!!!

i'd actualy like to know what made him choose the 7m...i'm not bashing it either i think its amazing...and unique considering it seems like if you pay that much you go 2j or built 1j... maybe he's had a bad experiance with the j's...lol.

or maybe he's going for a record?

Because I wanted to stick with what came in the car in the US and the fact it is a torqy engine.


For the record..my hp is 814.62 RWHP and 690 RWTQ (with a slipping clutch) Putting a little better one in this weekend until I get a Tilton :)
Dedication to a 7M is not a big deal. I knew the engine could make this power.

The 2J can put out power but how long? I personally witnessed a 2J huck a rod out the block a few weeks ago :evil2: Actually, Nate has a rod cap at his house :biglaugh:

Edit: The record for an MKIII with a 7M in it is 822 on bottle. (Tony is Vegas) Record now is 814.62 on boost alone :biglaugh:

maybe we could get a new car domain going for you once you get that done... showcase it...and get you in a magazine again. proving to all the mkiv owners that we can kick just as much arse. (well...you can...but u can still represent! lol)

i would like to build up a 7m to 500 hp and i'd be happy...i just could never afford it. :(

r u going to dyno with the temporary clutch?

Yes I will redyno with the new clutch that we are putting in this weekend. Boost should hold but spray?...we will see.
