You left out the ground on the tranny mount. Is that ground in place?

And, I just read all 7 pages and never heard mention of ever driving the car. Is it possible you just need to drive the car and let the ECU learn an idle? Has this been done? It sounds like the ECU has been reset several times during this. Have you also checked your main EFI relay?

Yah I wouldn't think it would run but I dont know. Maybe jetjock knows. This is beyond me now...

So if you reset you ecu. and dont touch the gas you just get the code 11 right?

I was thinking this very thing.... as long as its driveable i think you should give it a shot and see if the ECU calms down your idle after a few drives.

yes,

and no i haven't drove the car yet lol due to the crazy idling issue.

but now sense it seems to be random and it runs fine some times i will 2moro nite and see if that helps.

But yes +b and b all checked out and was withing spec but batt did not. I was thinking of running a wire straight from the battery and splicing it into the wire thats runs into the ecu to give batt voltage and that should get rid of the code 11 and give batt voltage.

Some other side notes, This harness or ecu, does have some other issues that i know is either with the harness or ecu.

I have used the same ecu and harness be4 on my old supra and once the swap the car would not start by key and the heat did not work. Wen i did the swap into this car, everything was perfect with the non turbo but as soon as i put this motor in, the same issues arose with the car not starting using the car and no heat and having to bypass the heater vsv for heat.

Maybe all of this is related with the code 11 or an issue with the wire harness?

Jetjock knows but no way he's gonna get sucked into this again. I will say one thing though: all this stuff about resetting the ECU to fix problems needs to die...

jetjock bro i need help just tell me what to do.

should i run a wire from the battery to the batt wire that goes to the ecu and then recheck for voltage ?

ight i did some searching hrs of it and came across an old post from jetjock.

" BATT has power at all times. The ECU needs this power (called "keep alive") to prevent the loss of data stored in volatile memory. DTCs, idle and fuel trim learned values are examples.

Anyway, when the ignition switch is turned on battery voltage is applied to ECU terminal IGSW. In response ECU terminal M-Rel supplies battery voltage to the coil of the EFI Main Relay. The Main Relay then closes and supplies battery voltage to ECU terminals +B and +B1. Power to +B and + B1 "wakes up" the ECU "

so running a wire from the battey to the batt wire on the ecu should fix not haven voltage at batt? Ill try it in the morning,

Dam I'm learing so much about the 7m

I would give it a try.

jetjock-I just thought you might share with him. But he found you in another way haha. Will a code 11 allow the car to start still? Could it be causeing this issue, or could it be hiding the issue thats causeing this erratic idle?

First.....A crap harness will give you fits! It doesn't matter how many times you band aid it, it's still a crap harness.

Also, the engine harness has nothing to do with your heat AFAIK.

yip, No matter how much mustard you put on a shit sandwich .... Its still a shit sandwhch ....:sarcasm:

I hope ya figure this out queenskid

I would give it a shot man. See if it fixes your prob.

thanks Thats what i plan to do just to see, From this diagram it seems that
the wire for batt runs after the efi fuse.

http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/FI/FI_029.gif

so if it is a short it must be between the wiring from behind the efi fuse to the ecu.

but about to go start doing some work soon, will give you all an update
