off the wall question - do you wear sunglasses with polarized lenses? Because if its just a glare thing (with the sun) then that would help a lot. If the backlighting is LED (like a digital gauge) than that will make it worse....

I was just looking at PS site and just in reading their descriptions, they mention white for day, color for night. Do you have the dimmer wired up wrong - so the blue (dim) color is 'on' all the time? Don't recall if that was covered or not (didn't feel like re-reading the entire thread again).

I mentioned it, doesn't seem like anyone hears me LOL

I have an idea to make them more readable in the sunlight, but it won't look too good...

remove the shine from the front of the lense with a anti-glare coating (like they use on glasses) and it would make it a LOT easier to read, or use very fine sandpaper to take the shine off but still keep them clear (not easy to make it look good)

great pics. Thanks for the help. Well it looks like they are pretty hard to see during day light. That is my main concern. Is it a big deal Knife? I mean are the pics portraying the real deal? Also if they are suppose to be white during the day, that could make a big difference.

Poodles what? Saying something? Can't read you, over :D

I think the white LED mode will greatly enhance daytime visibility, as well.

What do the instructions say? I would disconnect the dimmer (check and see if it is getting a signal with only the key on) and go from there...

I suspect you do have them wired in backward. I don't have a set of these but other gauges I've seen have a switch inside, if there's voltage to the night LEDs the day ones are cut out. So, if you're supplying constant voltage to the night illum. mode you'll never see the day illum. mode.

An easy way to find out would be turning on you headlights and disconnect the wire that's run to the ign switched source.

ok so i disconnected the ign 12v which i have connected to the cig lighter plug. key on, gauges..nothing. lights switch on..nothing. so i hooked it back up and disconnected the wire i have going to the dimmer. key on..blue lighting and intro initiates. lights on, nothing changes.
this wire going to the light switch seems to be doing nothing... hmm
