Yep, looks like the amber/white and green/white are the only ones that do it :(

I'm wondering how the green look with the stock gauges?

i have personally seen the green, and it looks to be a good match. if you have an apillar or guages mounted on your dash not many would notice, because its not that close. BTW, it looks like my build just got a little more expensive :).

That's a bummer!

I just got home from work and my gauges were waiting for me. I'll probably put them in tonight after I eat and i'll take some daytime pictures soon!

It's still probably not a bad idea to make sure they're wired up properly... the night mode is supposed to be dimmer than the day mode. If it's wired backwards it'd make the day time visibility worse.

To check if the illumination is wired in properly go outside when it's dark and turn on the car. Then turn on the headlights, the gauge faces should dim.

I just finished wiring mine in- the gauge is of course brighter, but the shade isn't *too* far off. Doesn't bother me a bit.

Mine works perfectly! I'll try to take some daytime pictures when i've got time off work, heh. So far i'm happy with it. I haven't hooked up my water temp gauge yet, though.

Here is some info I got from prosport yesterday when ordering:

*At this time we have not even begun to make a 60m Green/White Series. If we do it looks like it will be next year.

*Yes, you are correct. Blue is just blue.

*Also..ALL of our gauges are NOT dimmable.

*(color) is accomplished by powering up specific wires. I.E. if you want white connect white wire, if you want Green connect Green wire to 12v power.

*(Could I use a rheostat to adjust voltage to the gauge to lower the brightness) no, because they are LED's the voltage range between on and off is small -maybe 2 volts so basically they are either on or off.

Hopefully that helps with your decisions.

Based on the last reply, it looks like you would have to rig in a brighter rated LED in your Choice of color, hooked up the the etra wire not in use (based on the statement of, "if you want green hook up the green, if you want white, hook up the white") and have it set to power one only when the head/parking lights are not in use...

What? Rewire another LED? Why?

Just build a relay system that swaps power from wire to wire (lights on/off) based on imput (KO or lights on).

The 52mm is great looking.

And yeah, don't wire it to something that is wired to the rheostat/dimmer... if it gets bumped down very much the gauge shuts off, heh.

Right now mine is wired to the Ashtray light negative and positive (for what the instructions call PARKING LAMP), tapped into the battery + going to the stereo, and to the cigarette lighter for ACC. This is just temporary to make sure the gauge worked and such, I plan on running dedicated positive and negatives as well as finding better tap source for the PARKING LAMP so it doesn't shut off when the dimmer goes down.

If I have time before work tomorrow i'll work on that daytime shot everyone has been waiting for! But for what it's worth daytime visibility is just fine for me, it's just as good as it was before.
