Jake- I say use the stock location. Allen, mk3forme, used a 3 way in his thread. I'm not using the factory gauge, so mine will go right into the block.

yeah here is what mine looks like. I did it this way cause I dont want a guage on my dash not functioning, whether im actually looking at it or not. I dont have the balls to do a dash like Dave yet. Hopefully someday I will do something trick like that. Hopefully I will be so lucky for mine to turn out as nice. Dave Im not sure about running the NPT tap through the BSP hole. I know there is only a difference of one tooth. Ask IJ, he has probably tried it. Personally I would rather not take a chance and get an adaptor. Plus isnt your bottom end built? I would worry about metal shavings getting in the oil passages as well.

Allen i believe Dave wants to run a die on the sending unit, which would proably work as long as he uses teflon tape on it but i would just buy the adapter.:icon_bigg

Sorry John. If I would take the time to read thoroughly I would have seen the word DIE and not the word TAP:biglaugh: Reign here is where I got my adaptor from. They also have 1/8 BSP male with only 1 female 1/8 NPT. Mine has 3 and I only needed 2 but it came with a plug for the extra hole.
