If these gauges hooked up like Defis with a single head unit and daisy chain configuration, I'd be all over it. I hate wiring and having to do wiring only once for my Defi setup is/was very appealing.

I think the power is daisy chained with their peak and hold gauges, but there isn't a control box (which just ups the cost of the gauges)

I also just wanted to confirm..with our Premium Series Gauges -just wire up the first gauge and daisy chain the rest of them. "We Don't Need No Stinkin' Controller" -Why force you to buy something that you don't need??

Interesting. I actually like my defi controller. It has alot of neat features, but it's good to know you've incorporated the same setup without a controller.

Why wait for a GB ??? Have you seen our prices already ???:aigo:
Agreed... Price vs. performance seems outstanding... When you look at the price, how much lower could you go? I mean, an EGT gauge with probe and sender for less tha $100?!!!! Holy smokes! Look at the cost of some of the other gauges out there... This may be the best value in a gauge out there... They are getting some good reviews... And thats great... I cant wait to get mine, soon, I hope... I've been looking at gauges for a long time now, and I feel really confident in the quality and accuracy of these gauges... AND, the fact that one of ProSports reps took the TIME to join our forum and discuss these products with us is a BIG plus one in my book! I dont see any Defi reps or Greddy reps around here... So it shows me that ProSport does care about its client base and wants to support us...

Yeah well, I'm a cheap bastard :D

I agree, seeing a rep from Prosport here really shows a commitment and willingness to LISTEN and HELP their consumer.

I'm still going to order my gauges soon, GB or not ;)

The only thing I dont like about these is I wanted peak and hold on the EGT and Boost but didnt want to pay the difference for oil pressure. Didnt feel I needed peak warning for oil pressure. The rim on the outside of the lens is a different color on the two. Why are the peak warning a different color than the regular gauges?

Yes they are slightly different. Because it was a new Series we thought we would make a whole new gauge. Looking back now, we can see lots of people like you mix and match-so we are looking into making them the same near the end of the year.

Really? You don't want to have a warning when your Oil Press. gets too low?

Interesting... that's like the first one I'd choose to have the warning function on ;)

Yep, I feel the same way Jag. That's what saved my motor last week when I blew an Oil Cooler line.

Wow. Now I really feel stupid for being stupid. I didnt even think like that. Now that you guys put it like that, the oil pressure would be beneficial. One thing though. I dont know what you guys set for your warning, and I dont even know how the warning function works yet. But if you set it low then isnt it going to warn you everytime you go from driving to like idle. Which means your warning guage would be warning you at every stop light in town driving.

Also Is there a reason that the EGT probe adaptor is tapered? Reason I ask is I just drilled and tapped into the base of my turbo to install it and I my tap was not tapered like I thought, so now my probe adaptor spun out in the hole. My tap appeared tapered quickly looking at it but its not. Do you guys carry a straight 1/8 NPT adaptor that I can use. Im not sure how to fix this problem yet.

if its an NPT tap, it will be tapered. if you run the tap THROUGH the hole completely, you probably took off all of the taper in the hole. if thats the case, most auto parts stores would have a larger fitting, so you could redrill and tap with say a 1/4" NPT.

yes going bigger is an option... But I have to used the probe adaptor that came with the guage. Its 1/8 npt male on one side and im not sure of the pitch on the other side that the probe screws into. I guess that is the mistake I made. I ran the tap to far in.

Just thinking also. I cant use just any adaptor if one is even made, cause then the probe wont extend far enough into the exhaust gas. Im thinking my only route is a weld in bung. Any other ideas?

You can set it anywhere. i.e. 10 psi..

As far as the taper -that is what NPT is. I think the easiest thing for you is weld up that hole and start again or weld on a bung.
