Congratulations, we have a winner!

There is no way I would pay $110 for a gauge pod though.... :)

In all honestly, it would look way better if the gauges were shallow mount like the defi's. But $40ea vs $140-260ea, I think I can deal with it. I'll just paint the rear of the case black to match

I didn't get the peak and hold (that could be partly why).

the gauge holder is 1 7/16 deep, the non P/H gauges are 2 3/8 deep (more or less).

You should be fine.

do tell. What pod did you buy? Or did you just get a deal on one?

well yeah I saw that one in the previous post. But he said he would never pay $110 for a pod. So I was wondering if he found one for cheap.

I don't see how that would be the issue. The gauge should sit at dead zero when off... right?

The needle goes to it's rest position when you turn it off (-30in/hg). The gauge reads -8 when the gauge is on, but the car is off, meaning the sensor is sending it the wrong signal.

Hey Reap-

Sorry, I missed your question. I have a pic on my phone that's @ steering wheel level (if you want it, give me a place to send it to). At my eye level (sitting), 800rpm and less on the tach and 140mph and above are covered. They way I figure it, I'm not going to be looking at the tach under 800rpm or the speedo when its over 140mph (other things are more important).

Mine was silver, but I painted it with low gloss black (not flat - I don't like flat black for the most part) which is nice and dark without being too shiny.

Me and Shaeff just finished installing 5 Prosport Gauges. Overall they look great and are very responsive. Be gentle when installing the power, or signal wires in the back of the gauge though. Eventually, they'll have enough and break.

Here is the view with the Perin gauge holder:

Obviously, eye level is above the steering wheel - so they don't really cover up anything.
