Just purchased a momo monte carlo. Plan is to try to mount the oem cruise control buttons on the dash by extending the wires but I can't recall if this is possible based on how it is wired to the wheel. I know the CC buttons can be taken right off of the wheel but the car is in storage so I can't check for a few weeks.

Anyone done it?

Sounds like a cool Idea. Are you thinking of placing them in the driver side switch panel next to or under the cruise button?

I'm thinking on that panel, but don't know where for sure yet. I think it will be pretty easy. I'm also hoping it's easy to get the horn button to work on the momo.

Car is out and has been awesome. I took out my more-unmetered-air AFM since I got rid of my Neo. I had to turn the boost down to 11psi or so.

I was peeing coolant everywhere yesterday and came to find the small hose that goes from the head to the thermostat housing was just old and cracked. A bit of a pain to get to, but it's set.

Now the sad part. My clutch is slipping in the high gears. The car has 97K and it's a stock clutch.

I have read up a little, but I need to choose a replacement. I don't want a fancy six-puck or anything. I read they chatter and I really don't think I need it. I want something that will handle 400hp (crank hp). I'd consider a stock toyota clutch, but I think 400hp might be a little too much. Any input from anyone?

Thanks for that tip Mac. I ended up getting a south bend feramic. I'll give feedback on it when it's in.

Well guys, tonight the dirty deed began. She's in the garage and engine is within a few hours of being out.

It's been WAY too long since I did a detailed post and I have a bunch to catch up on. I've been really occupied between graduating school, staring a design engineering job, and busying myself with a new toy (KTM 625 SMC Supermoto).

Ridiculous that this thread has not been updated...

My engine is finally ready to re-assemble as soon as my clevites come in (hopefully today). Cylinder walls at 100K miles looked flawless, with a crosshatch still visible.

One of these days, I will make a huge update with pictures of it all. So, for now look at these :)
