The circumstances are pretty bad, and it's really a shame that after all this work he got rounded up anyway.

BUT, make sure to smack him for driving like a fool this last time when he gets out.

He's going nuts in there, with nothing to do. He can only visit the library 1 time per week, and check out 2 books...he's already been this week, and finished both books in 2 days. No TV, nothing to do besides chess or basketball. I'm going to visit him tonight, I'll give him all the thoughts and best wishes from everyone here.

You seriously have no fucking idea how pissed I am about this. I'm watching almost 3 years of blood sweat and tears go down the toilet, because of this bumfucked backwards assed county.

I'm about 2 seconds from changing my degree from Engineering to Law, just to learn the fucking procedures for putting shit like this out of my life.
Sure, selling the engine will pretty much take care of the majority of what this will cost - but fuck - how the hell will I possibly replace the time and effort into that motor? I've built is as perfect as I possibly can. :3d_frown:

I figure I'll just sell everything off. After this shit is behind me, I'll build a nuke and wipe Sumter from the map....

er, I mean, I'll see if maybe I have enough left over for a decent N/A

Thats exactly what I did.
Switched from an engineering career and now studying Criminal Justice and loving it.

Cheers,
Roy

It may be a few days before they move him to Sumter County, but as soon as they do, I'll get the info and post it. He's not allowed to have anything in there, unless he buys it from the canteen, and any money that he has that doesn't get used, gets slowly drained each day by the jail. It's fucking stupid.

Do the days he spends before bing transferred to Sumter count towards the 59????? I sure hope so. Hell isn't it just a couple of hours drive? What's taking them so long to do that?

From what I've been able to find out from his attorney, as well as other law enforcement officers (ones I know and can trust), the time spent in Alachua will count towards the time needing to be served.

Sumter apparently only has 10 days to move him, and since he is only there to serve time, and does not get an arraignment or bail/bond, he is not high on the priority list. Which means he will most likely sit there for a week to nine days before they transfer him.

Anything sent to him aside from letters will be entered into his property, but he will not be able to access it until he actually leaves the jail. I can't even bring him snacks and such, since they don't feed him enough there (apparently the meals are incredibly small, and everyone is still hungry between mealtimes, not just John). But I know he'll appreciate any letters that he gets.

Meanwhile, after visiting him last night....he's beyond miserable. I don't think I can find the words to describe it. He only gets 2 hours of visitation time per week, and that is gone for this week now. His visit(s) to the library are limited to one per week, for no more than 1 hour at a time. That has also been expended for this week. For someone as intelligent as he is, just sitting around and doing nothing is killing him.

Sitting doing nothing is hell for intelligent people.

This is why assembly line jobs work so well for morons...

Ok, so he can recieve letters right?

Well... if we all send him different pages out of a book, then he could read the whole book!

Will they get suspicous when we send him fat envelopes full of "letters"?

I just finished reading every post. It seemed like it was going well, then all this happens! This is one of the best communities around hands down! No other community that I know of would help a guy out when he needs it. I'm proud to be a part of it! I would've tried to help out with the money situation, but I just found this thread. Can you bring him anything? The system is so screwed up these days. Sitting around doing nothing is hell on an empty stomach.

Lets all send him a TSRM :biglaugh:, that will keep his ass busy.
We can remove the cover and replace it with a bible cover...they let people read the bible in jail right?
