Yeah, when the movie was playing... I wondered how that chick came to the island from MD.

They blew the bridges out... unless she took a canoe or something.

Surely there's a Gander Mtn. or Dick's Sporting Goods in NY

There was a shit ton of boats left there including aircraft carriers and such. Probably a few car ferries or whatever.

I think the movie should have been just a tad longer to explain some of these issues. A good story, good movie but felt kind of swiss cheesed.

I don't know, I didn't really think it was much like the Omega Man, outside of the fact both movies were very loosely based on the premise that the book was based on.

It was a good movie no doubt, best movie Ever? No.

****spoiler!!*****

Im not too clear on 1 part of the movie, when the mannequin is setup outside the building. Who put the thing out there and set the trap? Did will put it there and was going mental and forgot he did it? Or, did the smart zombie dude set him up with it? I feel stupid but that part just didnt make sense to me at all. Hes just cruising around and sees the mannequin standing there suddenly and this elaborate trap is rigged up.

****end spoiler!!!*****

I was thinking that too, but its like in the start of the movie the 'leader' zombie is just kinda smart. By that part of the movie suddenly hes advanced enough to rig up that trap and have dogs trained...

I think the zombies advanced too much in the space of the movie. The one scene where sam is in the building, the zombies are mindless standing there. Will was screaming his head off and the zombies dont care. By the end of the movie they are breaking into his house like zombie swat team.

If it were me, Id have taken a boat out each night to sleep on. No sense sleeping amongst the zombies if you have access to some nice boats! Keep his sweet house setup and lab but get out of there by night fall and be safe.

Haha that's what everyone I saw the movie with said.
If the zombies were as smart as they seem to be at the end they'd have found that little hiding spot, and they'd all be dead. and if they were as dumb as they were in the beginning of the movie, he probably coulda ran in the hole and they'd have gotten confused/impatient and moved on.
But... we need dramatic endings.

After knowing what the book is about, you understand the movie a bit better...

They where after JUST him for a reason, though the reasoning for the title is completely different. It went from being legend of something dark and scary to the world (as he was role reversed in the book in the minds of the masses), to a heroic legend...

Dirgle: Ummm it's a remake of a remake

Last man on Earth>Omega Man>I am Legend.
;)

Hard to call it a remake, as I Am Legend wasn't really based on the Omega Man. And the Omega man doesn't follow Last Man on Earth really well either. I don't really see any of the movies being remade from any of the others, each one was it's own loose interpretation of the book.
