Anyone here actually read the original book? I own it. I really liked it, except for the ending of the book... tho I suppose it was to be expected (for any of you that have read the original)

Great movie, and I was pleasantly surprised with the ending. Without spoiling to much it wasn't a perfectly predictable Hollywood ending like I though they were going to do. And the few moments where I though Will smith might have been over acting, it occurred to me he might just be trying to portray just how mentally unstable his character is. I think Will did a great job with the character, I shudder to think what Arnold Schwarzenegger, the guy they originally wanted, would has done with the role.

Yup - funny how it's been made into a movie three times now, and the book is still better than any of them. Hell, it's better than all of them put together.

Thats because the power of your imagination is better than anything hollywood can come up with.

FRANK IF YOU'RE REAL YOU BETTER TELL ME RIGHT NOW.

I lol'd at that line.

Can you imagine how much of a head trip that would be. After not seeing anything in your world change for three years, then suddenly something that is only in your imagination becomes real. I would freak the F*** out.

Yup. I was freaking out in the theatre for him. I would have been swearing up a storm.

That was one of the freakiest parts of the movie. I was thinking "holy fuck, they're getting smart, he's screwed!"

I would say he handled it better than I probably could.

Most people would have probably put a bullet in their head way before 3 years went by if they had to live in a world with no normal humans by day and aggressive zombie like humans by night.

I don't see how he was over acting, to act alone for 90% of a movie is hard as hell. Look at cast away, I felt sorry for him and the damn ball.

SPOILERS BELOW THIS LINE

I felt really bad about when he had to kill his dog, I dunno if anyone ever had to have their dog put down but it takes alot out of you. Brought back moments with me and my dog.

IT was as good as a zombie film gets. I enjoyed it... It kept me on the edge of my seat more than most horror films do, but it was more just suspense not fear.

My favorite seen was the Batman/superman film ad, with the ripped off date but you could see 09. :sarcasm:

Lesson learned from the movie: Dont mess with a black mans bacon.
