Im at just over $20,000 with the cost of the car at 4k and I havent even gone turbo yet. There are still a few parts I want to repurchace to. Hell when you spend that much on a car that cost next to nothing, is it worth keeping, or is it worth selling. you sell and you'll never get any of it back. If you keep it, you'll just continue sink money into it

luckily I didnt have to spend nearly as much as most of you to realize where the money should be spent.
Buy it right, buy it once. Anything over 20k in a mk3 and you should be pushing some serious power, or have some insane custom work done somewhere on the car.

i honestly don't even want to know how much but I think i'm higher then you many indirectly of course... with the cost of this that and the other... many engines... yada yada. misc tools along the way and it being canadian funds and everything costing 2x
Let's see traded a 1989 jeep charokee for the supra with two rod knocks in one engine.(best why I can think to say it lol) I paid $550 for the jeep with reg. and lic. included.
So $605 after reg. and lic. for the supra.
$3500 building the bottom end of the car
$740 on my MAFT Pro that I am waiting on
So a total of $4845
That is nothing compared to the $14k me and my dad just dumped into race bikes to "just have fun"

I'm around 15k including the price of the car. Shit, it really is despressing when you think about it.....
bought my car May 04 for $3400.
i would have to total it all up again but im Close to $8000 without the car. so with the car around $11500
and im not even at 400rwhp yet...
had to buy a jdm engine so i dont even have a rebuild. haha.
kinda bad huh...But this is MY Supra and it makes me Happy. Everyone else likes my car too. Makes me happy.

Then hopefully i will Try and leave it at that and just fix little things.

No way, what would be really depressing is spending $60,000 on a brand new sports car and getting smoked by an old Supra with under $20k in it.
I got my 89T for $9500 (back in 96 with just 50,000 miles on it). I refuse to calculate how much I've spent on it since that day - heck just rubber alone is four to five thousand dollars - that's ~$0.03 per mile.
