when i got my car, it was a rusty, trashed-leather interior, smelly, slow-with-many-problems, N/A.
i did all the maintenenance on it, changed ALL fluids, fixed all leaks, hoses, etc... full tune up bla bla bla...
a year or so later i spun a rod bearing. (yes, the oil was full, the motor had about 200k on it)
the car had some down time, during which i did the following:
1986.5 chassis, still on the w58 with my own custom SOGI short shift rethreaded for stock knob, '89 7MGTE, Clutchmasters Stage III, Fidanza Lighweight Flywheel, Lexus AFM, RC 550cc Injectors, Boost Reference Aeromotive Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator with Fuel Pressure gauge and stainless steel braided lines, pulsatoin damper removal kit and j-tube bypass, Walbro 255 Fuel Pump, Megan Racing Boost Gauge, Becauseican Divorced Wastegate Downpipe, 3" RS*R Concept Cat-back with resonator removed, Cometic 1.4mm MHG, ARP Headstuds, 1mm Oversized Valves, Dr. Jonez Manual Boost Controller, Eibach Pro Kit, Koni Yellows, Upper Hardpipe/BOV, B&M 11x8 oil cooler, B&M 180* thermostat, oilfilter relocation kit, Greddy oil catch can. 3400lbs with driver
*not installed yet...* - MKIV TT rims, SAFC-II, Greddy WB o2 gauge.
-new interior, all new body panels going on, paint this spring, etc...

'87 n/a bought with a crap motor, still ran, but needed a rebuild.
Swapped out motor with an import low km one. New hg, valve seals, timing chain, etc.
Rebuilt W58 tranny, rebuilt LSD n/a 4.30 diff., Pacesetter header, hose techniques vacuum hoses, new paint, '91 5-spokes, Goodrich TA's, new carpet and front seats, new exhaust, new alternator, new rotors and front calipers, FIPK, new heater core, new targa and roof weatherstrips, new rear hatch seal, '89 climate control and 3-pc rear stock turbo rear spoiler, '89 tailights, all fluids swapped, new windshield, sogi short shifter with Momo knob, new compressor for updated a/c, suspension techniques springs, KYB GR2 shocks, new Alpine stereo and speakers, I think thats pretty much it, I don't wanna think how much I've spent on this car, but I love Supras, Would like to do a ge-gte swap at some point, but I live in a bloody condo, would really piss off my neighbours turning my one car stall into a rebuild garage, heh

wow. in the few months since I got some supe it has been a veggie mix.
turbo,exhaust manifold, intake manifold loose
2 loose headbolts/ retourqed da head
rotted intake hoses, vacuum hoses rotted and misplaced
valve cover leak + 2 stripped valve cover bolts
leaky targa, leaky tailgate, leaky p/s, leakin rad fluid (various)
crankshaft pulley chipped, crankshaft pulley bolt cross-threaded
removed enough texas dirt and oil to start a toyota plant
no a/c no heat (drove it home mid december)
I/C full of oil
check engine on cause o2 wires melted on the exhaust
antilock inop
brake lines flushed, calipers were sticky, pads were worn.
diff oil dripped out like molasses in january, tranny oil was no aunt jemima.
oh. there are metal shavings in the oil pan, rod knock is audible and the odo will hit 250k when i drive it in for a full engine rebuild in about a week.
whoever had this supra before me didnt love cars, just pimping them.
I'm sure that by this time next year i'll be like blackout_89t

I've added a five speed, reaplced leaky weird aftermarket exahust with stock unit, fixed a cracked brittle charcoal canister line (notice how i didnt just cheap out and remove the CC? ), new master, slave cylinder, new SS braided clutch line. fixed the starting problem by redoing the battery wiring.
and thats just the beginning..
oh ya, and matched the rear tires to be the same size instead of 225/55/r16 on one side and like 205/55/r17 on the other..

yea i couldnt believe it was a supra when i saw it! i almost cried :| but i got it for dirt cheap and the 7mgte was very well taken care of and runs mint!

actually i havent even driven it with that yet, im picking it up today, but i have a daily driver, so i wont be driving it all too much (still will drive it enough tho)
