Dude most mk4 owners don't know crap about supras other than the one they are sitting in, and they suck a pronouncing things to ;)

You'd be suprised how many of us MKIV owners started out (and still are) MKIII owners. I know quite a few guys around here that have a MKIV and have a MKIII (and/or a MKII at the house as well...)

You guys really need to let this cross generational hatred go, this community is too small for this bullshit...

And it's pronounced Mark Three IMO...

it's mark 3

mk3 is just an abbreviation when typing..

But you also have to understand that, although it's not an actual word doesn't mean that people can't pronounce it like that. It just happens...and gets around. I originally was around people that said M-K-3...
But have adapted to hearing Mark3...But yet, on other parts of the US and other parts of my state, people still say M-K-3...So it's just another way to pronounce it...It doesn't mean it's WRONG. But yes, MARK 3 is the proper and original way to say it. :icon_bigg

Mike,

Will may have overstated it when he said Most MKIV owners, but this site was created for those of us who prefer the MKIII. Most of the people here are either former members , or decreased users of supraforums who were chased away because of the arogance of the MKIV masses. There is gonna be some hatred here. You are not the only exception from the masses, there are more of you who have previously or currently owned an MKIII. You people are true Supra enthusiast. But you must admit you are outnumbered by guys who look down on us because we don't own what they do. And some of the hatred stems from jealousy. Many MK,mark, mach 3 owners would love to have an MKIV if only they could find a good one, or could afford it. I personnally love all 4 generations, and am driving the one I really want to be driving

Agreed, I also love all 4 gens, but preferably, the Mark 3 is my favorite. But then again, I admit, if I had the money I would buy a Mark 4, then again, that's why alot of us have Mark 3's to begin with.

Wills7MGTE: I partially agree with you there, but then again, it is true alot of the time. Just this week, I've seen three MK4's, I waved at all of them and gave them a thumbs up (I do that to every Supra I see driving), all of them just gave me a WTF look. :( And what's funny is one of those guys had a 97 with mods. :3d_frown: And then two weeks ago, I saw a Mark 3 going the opposite way on the highway, we both waved at each other and gave each other a thumbs up, the Mark 3 people just seem more knowledgeable when it comes to other Supras.

I couldn't have explained it better.
From meets, that is one thing that WILL bother me...
About half of the MKIV guys, at meets, when I talk to them, are pretty cool guys...but I can't lie when I say that there is a nice handful of MKIV Supra owners at meets that, when a MKIII owner(me) approaches them, they act like they have something better to do or don't want to talk to you.

If you are a MKIII owner that never even TRIES to talk to the MKIV guys, then you have no business judging the average MKIV owner...but if you are like me and look at it as, "WHO CARES. A SUPRA IS A SUPRA", and the MKIV owner has that attitude towards me, I won't lie, it pisses me off.

I can't guarantee this, but from what I've been through in my MKIII, I don't think I would have as much PRIDE driving a MKIV just because that is already the "top dog" in the Supra game. I guess I'm just the type of person that likes to prove people wrong and make them realize that when it comes down to it, a Supra is a Supra is a Supra............just......some of them get BHG's. ;)

I'm helping to put together a Supra club in the Mobile, Al area. So far we have 3 MKIII's and 2 MKIV's. Both of the MKIV guys are great guys.....BUT.... I do get comments like...."We got to find you a 2jz to put in there". And most times I talk to them, it always starts with "How's your head gasket". I know they are kidding, and I kid along with them, but I can't say I feel fully respected.

Yeah, some of them like to joke around about that kind of stuff, LOL.
(I know this isn't "completely" true;)), but ask them what a 1000rwhp MKIV & a 300rwhp MKIV has in common? "They will respond with: What?. Answer? They both run 12's. :biglaugh: ANYWAYS, hehe.

That's one thing that more people DO need to realize is that, Yes, they drive a MKIV, but you've got to realize they are REGULAR people, too. It's just that sometimes, they can get cocky because they do indeed have a "Fast and Furious" style Supra. :naughty: lol.
