I've never really been disrespected when I say I drive a Supra.
I have had some "kids" act disapointed when I tell them it's not a twin turbo.
I right it off as they're just immature and uninformed.:slap: They just don't know!

Most times no one comments on my car, they just notice it and go about their business. Occasionally I'll get a "thats in great shape and nice car". Only once did I hear two old guys look at my car and one says to the other guy "to each his own" and "its a piece of junk". Funny thing is all I saw in the parking lot besides my car were boring family cars (one of those cars must have been theirs). Bottom line is I don't care what anyone thinks since I love my car and that is all that matters.
Nothing but compliments for me. Well almost - my neighbor swears at anything foreign but that's it. When you go from a base 4 door Saturn for nine years to a targa turbo in red you find out that a car can turn heads. Some comments:
"Wow, is that a turbo?"
"Nice car - you paid what? Where can I find one?"
"I want to drive it!"
"That thing looks fast just sitting there parked" ---> my favorite

i had my car out the garage becasue i was pullin the trans and my nieghbor saud he had some rims for me to buy. so i walk down an dlook at them and tell them there not wide enough for the nittos i wanna run. hes like man youll be good......... twin turbo doesnt spool and aint it awd. lmao im like no rwd and single turbo. he just goes ohhhhhhhh... what a pansy

Well i work at a nissan dealership and all i hear from all the lube techs is why dont you sell that sled and get a 240 with a sr20 and be drift tight yo.And i tell them that i dont want to join the nissan bandwagon.And i also get why do you spend 5-6 hours a day on that car old crap box(im restoring it the whole car is gutted).And people tell me to buy a new car and then i show them my payment and insurance on my 2002 WRX and they go WTF?!?!?($368.00payment$388.00insurance a month!)That the reason why i bought the supra so i dont have payments and the supra is $158.00 a month for insurance.So even though the supra can break every week it will never cost as much as that wrx cost me.I :love: my supra.

But by and large, everybody loves it. Rides great, real smooth, real fast, nice and quiet. As Toyota intended.
sadly before i could take anybody for a ride i got a BHG... (that legal 1 year crap...its good for the screwballs but really sucked for the people like me that got their privlages taken away and the waiting time lengthened 6mo. now that i can legally drive my buds...i dont have my car. now i'm a bit..upset?

Heh, the best was when Heidi was driving behing a brand new C6 vette, and some kids were playing at the side of the road and took no notice, then she rolled by and the kids all stopped, pointed and stared, "Wow! look at that car!"

funny thing with mine was that when I got it, I tried to do it up for the women, an get some tail. but anymore the one people that drop everything to stare at the supra is the 7 to 13 yrs old little kids... lol..

people always ask why would i spend all this money on some ugly old car. but then i see my poor suzy sitting outside and who cares what they think i'm drivin the turbo supra and they have some POS civic or cavalier. so who cares what other people think of your car man your part of the supra family and not some shitty civic nation(sorry civic owners just not a fan)

all my friends love it (even the ones who talk shit)
girlfriend hates when I'm working on it since it cuts into her time with me, but loves riding in it down the race track
